I personally cant see this doing anything now until May. Then it depends if the production update exceeds expectations or not. If not I see it staying stale. Ever since I have owned this share it has always been undervalued based on fundamentals. I dont see the mould beong broken unless Aaz exceed expectation. I hope that 2018 forecast is a low-ball forecast as Aaz will continue to short fall of share price expectation. In my experience it has always valued at a 50% discount and always have put that down to PSA in place.Time will tell and before you know it so will May and then an idea of the way the next 12 months will evolve.JW

I agree 2sporrans but we might just get some news before the the Q1 results which may hopefully give this a bit of a boost.

Thanks cc.

Just had a 2nd listen.

So $6-mn to be spent this year; the decided majority on Gegdabek extending life of mine and knowledge of ores [gold:Copper, Sulphide:Oxide etc] in order to plan plant expansion to suit.

Current Life of Mine given as 7 years.
Objective to extend to 10+, this year hopefully.

Main pit evolution from open cast to underground.
The timing/pace of this will be very much one to watch.

Don't think this is going to impact much on the share price next few months, fundamental importance notwithstanding.
Expect that to be driven foremost by Q1 results and 2018 production-cashflow guidance and likely revise up the 2018 production target range towards 90k-mid-GE with AISC remaining ~$600/oz.

Interesting that Ordubad Greenfield Exp. to preceed Gosha btw.

Good vid crazycoops, as I've been saying it's about validating what the Russians found. Back then it was over $6 billion when gold was a lot lower.

Good video

..."forecast mine life of 10 years plus....continued growth and exploration"

Longer term...."continued increase of new deposits.....Gosha & Ordubad"

"In a position both financially and technically to really start moving. We've got the money and the people in place to do it"

Sounds good to me.

16 January 2018,rns...

Anglo Asian CEO Reza Vaziri commented, "I am delighted to report that following a very strong performance in Q4 2017, Anglo Asian has delivered full year production at the very top of its published forecast range. This is a considerable achievement in itself, but when taken together with the recent expansion and production optimisation initiatives put in place and commencement of production from Ugur, it is clear that 2017 was an overwhelmingly successful year for Anglo Asian. The almost halving of net debt in the year is also a significant achievement as the Company returns to financial health.

"Anglo Asian is continuing to lay the foundations for long term sustainable production growth and to deliver value to its shareholders. Mining is expected to recommence at our main open pit at Gedabek in the near-term together with the installation of a second, dedicated crusher line for the flotation plant. These should significantly enhance our production profile throughout 2018. I look forward to providing further updates on forecast 2018 production and expansion and exploration objectives in the coming weeks."

Yes,really and forecast is for geo’s.

“No flotation concentrate produced in Q4 2017 as the agitation leaching plant treated Ugur ore which does not contain copper”

Q4/17 produced 23,185geo with just agitation plant treating Ugur ore. I see no reason why they should not improve on that Qtr.
Aaz have always under promised and over delivered. Mention of 2nd crusher site being prepared in Oct17 so would not be surprised to hear it’s up and running and being commissioned this month

@bsharman As for getting up to speed the recent presentation, available either on the co website or through the link on the page here is good reading.
As for whether you should stay invested here.... of course. Its the pivotal year for AAZ. We will start paying a return for your shares IMO. The debt is negligible.
Production is going to shoot up and the exploration plan is huge.

All good.

Celeritas, they had not yet started but We looked at the site ready to start work, Crushers were ordered the day I left, and guessing work would have started after that.

BSHARMAN3, Put the shares back in the draw, take them out when we are well over £1.
And then I will send you my address in order for you to send me a case of Red wine...

Id we fail to do that I will send you 2 cases...

"Terropol: I would be very surprised if we did not get around 24k oz in Q1. Any Number obove 20k is brilliant. Very possible end of year total to come at 85-90k oz."

If that were to be achieved, would be very happy with that.

As for the shares, price continues to consolidate around the 40p region - think next leg higher goes to around 55p for a further period of consolidation.

I bought these years ago (too early) and stuck them in a draw.. They are now out of the draw and i see my average is 40p. I'm very much not up to speed on the developments over the past few years, can anyone enlighten me briefly or point me in the right direction of an article or research so i can see if it is worth continuing to hold! Thanks
