Its a tough one Matt, I guess it shows a serious level of ambition to grow the company. The findings of the exploration will be the real key.

Good morning all.
The company must have enough info to warrant this further drilling.
Guessing not able to quote numbers till proper assessment due to market regulations.
With all this going on still producing at my estimate 8000oz x month.

Catsick has summed up well.

"......the down dip continuity of mineralisation from the Gedabek main open pit"

Not new news btw; was in last October's Explo./Dev. RNS

There's a bit more detail on the passage [from Gadir] extension under the main pit and the ensuing fan drilling.
Doing a Bleepy:

"Given the mineralisation intersected, in 2018 it is planned to extend the tunnel beneath the "backwall" of the Gedabek main open pit to Pit 6 and to exit via a spiral ramp into the vicinity of Pit 1. Cross-cut tunnels will then be driven through the mineral zones to allow for the construction of drilling chambers. Fan drilling by underground core drilling will then be carried out to assess the quantity and quality of mineralisation. A total of approximately 5,750 metres of underground core drilling is planned."

All good, though note the implication is strongly that the fan drilling, as such, may be commencing some months hence; some posts here suggested it was underway or at least would be during Q1.

"I look forward to updating our shareholders during the year on the results of the programme." RV

Starting with grades etc from the 2017 drilling, especially that 5,000m programmed for Q4-> in the main pit please.

Like the build of in-house drilling team with rigs etc.

$6m spend readily affordable.
Could likely spare it for 1 year let alone 3.

Mattjos,

If you get a moment over the next few days, wonder if you would update the news list in the header _ it's going to be a busy year

Looking forward to the existing Soviet findings being proved up to jorc standards

Edit: just seen your post above. My opinion fwiw us that share price Angel will be sharpening their pencils today/tomorrow. They know their valuation is woefully off based on fundamentals, I interpreted their last message as they just wanted to see if there were any significant supprised in this rns to re-rate it even further.

Guess we shall see

Sadly, nothing in this RNS that will cause share price Angel to rise from their slumbers. From a current valuation perspective, I suspect most folk will simply question what all the fuss has been about waiting for this RNS .. as good as it is, it doesn't actually tell us anything new.. merely fleshes out an intent.

I believe the broker covering this one said they would adjust their target following this rns, so we can expect that over the next day or two.

Any guesses as to the share price target uplift?

No surprise that this can be funded from free cash

Aisc h1 2017 $564
Gold price average for Jan/Feb $1333 - $564 = $769 per oz
Mid rage if this year's projected output is 81,000 oz

750 x 81k = $62million

= in excess of $5million per month

All for a mcap of less than £50million

Outstanding organised thorough and inventive approach. A rather low key announcement of what could be the start of a major reassessment of AAz’s prospects by a growing audience in the investment community. The follow ups from this should give us all plenty to be more than satisfied with. Great news.

Pivotal RNS and a pivotal year ahead, imo.$6m to finally start to prove up the resources to JORC, as detailed on the pre-IPO report. This is what all the years of waiting here has been about

As was expected the push is to get the mine life up to over 10 years, now they are a cash cow spending 6m to get this done is a no brainer, surprising not so get any results from what has been already drilled in 2017 where they talk about mineralization being found all over the place, I guess we are a fair way off a new jorc report covering what they have additionally drilled already, I guess now they have cashflow to invest there are lots of new drilling opportunities!

Well this is an immediate uplift to mine life

Gedabek underground

During 2017, a tunnel was constructed... drill holes of BQ size were drilled at the end of the tunnel to determine the presence of mineralisation under the main pit. The results were positive and confirmed the down dip continuity of mineralisation from the Gedabek main open pit

43,000m of drilling in ONE year.

FORTY THREE THOUSAND METRES

Plus a helicopter :D

Was it pure remote chance to find Ugur less than 5km away or is Gedabek (330km2) rammed full of the stuff?

I suggest you read 'The Silk Roads' by Peter Frankopan a research fellow at an Oxford college. A fairly recent publication, a great insight into the history of commerce and the rise and fall of several empires. The BE was something of a flash in the pan compared to past events.
