Lingering I thik is the right word. Been here more than 5 years. Biggest holding now (not investment) and just kicking myself for not buying a shed more in 2015.

Watching yours with interest, but fully invested. Have you looked at FUM, FST or WTI ?

managed to pick up 30,324 at 42.87 and then of course the price drops!

My wifes isa will not be active until Mon/Tues, so it could be fortunate and we pick up a few more at a better price.

fyi,

last BED'n'ISA switch I did was last May

Switched the full £20k allowance from trading A/c to Isa A/c ... bid price at the time was 15p .. I did the switch at 15.05p

Obviously you want to do the deal at the lowest possible price.

If you're not switching, simply looking to buy the whole lot .. you should be able to get them at under 43p mid price.

Always best to do this sort of thing on a nice quiet red day

you can get 25k from WINS, 50k from CFEP both inside the spread currently, been a few sells today so stock available currently. If you've got a good broker get them to ring through to the mm's and bargain hard.

I am looking to fill mine and my wifes year 17/18 isa's with around £15k each, what would you say is the best way to get the best price? my broker is HL, is telephoning the best method to negotiate a trade?

nice consolidation round these levels, considering the recent rise - i'd like to pick up a few more lower down too, but in truth i don't think that's likely, it's just too damn cheap and there's an increasing amount of interest in AAZ that also know it's too damn cheap.

Sentiment in gold is far too high, and, short term dollar will bounce per my post a week or so ago. Thus, as per the last post, gold is going lower short term, higher in the medium-longer term.

Still like AAZ, which I retain.

The dollar/yen remains the biggest driver of the gold price as it has done for over 5 years now. Look no further than the rise in dollar yen today to explain the fall in gold (fall in yen/dollar).

Interestingly gold has been rising despite rates rising which is a recent change in a long standing correlation.

Given how quickly it’s risen, a significant drop back to perhaps under $1,300 for the last time in our lifetimes could be on the cards.

$1,550 remains my target for this year.

I’m hoping for Aaz to drop back under 40p too so I can pick up some more.

Gold has fallen as the USD has strengthened today.

It matters not to AAZ. Our gold is sold in USD but our earnings are reported in GBP.

You can sell plenty though up to 67,500 at the moment
