Sorry to see that you lost faith Mattjos.

I am holding to all mine and will keep adding when I can.
I still believe the company will deliver.

But I understand that waiting and waiting can make people loose patience...

We would all like Jam today... But very seldom is the case.

Look forward to some positive news near future.

Understand your frustration with the management. One point you may have misunderstood , there were never going to be any drilling results this time of year. From speaking to Stephen in London , weather was always going to stop play. Worth keeping an eye on and buying back in soon . Still think aaz and azergold share the same path. How and when any ones guess!

I am still very positive about gold jbe ... just my belief in AAZ is now dimmed. Mgmnt are failing to deliver for too long a time.I simply believe that Other gold producers will do better in coming weeks & months

Quite understandable Matt , aaz is I still believe undervalued . Do you no longer think gold will break out next month?

have been selling quite a few over last few weeks. Still a huge chunk left.
Missed the highs but, am forced to conclude that the company is doing little more than 'poking about' in the hope of finding something.
They know precisely what is at Bittibulag & have know for over 2 years now (& some other locations) but, have consistently failed to declare it to the market, despite doing so in international mining meetings in the hope of flushing out processing expertise.
I therefore conclude that Bittibulag looks like yet another duff location, alongside many others since IPO - no economically viable grade.
Chovdar is clearly now just a pipe-dream & so too any other new in-country assets. The company has let the initiative go to AZERGOLD &, due to its debt load & clear inability to successfully negotiate a deal, is unable to respond or grasp any further opportunities in Az.
I think they will have to look outside AZ & that means years and years before production elsewhere. Question whether Reza is even young enough now to see that through.
Great things are regularly intimated at the meetings between company officers and investors but, the company consistently fails to deliver on any of them & has only fleetingly proven able to do so since IPO, from Gadabay alone. Gadir doesn't stand on its own two feet other than as an artisanal mine, were it not for Gadabay plant proximity. It is nothing ore than a very narrow vein underground mine with very limited life.

I do applaud Reza (for his loans to the company & consistent sense of optimism) & Bill (for his eye on the costs) & of course the hard-working staff but, the company seems to be backing itself further and further into a cul de sac at Gadabay as a predominantly copper only producer by 2018 & has no additional proven gold assets to fall back on.
Ugur looks like yet another trumpeted find that will certainly & quietly drift into obscurity by this time next year.

Were there greater gold reserves in the bank and/or a proven ability to get hold of more gold reserves then, I would not have sold any but, reality cannot be ignored ... the company's days as a predominantly gold producer look now very, very limited & it's a gold producer I want to invest in .. not a copper miner / gold explorer.

I still think the company will do well and is very undervalued but, I do not want to maintain an overweight position in a company where mgmnt is not reliably delivering on a crystal-clear strategy on growth in gold reserves / production & seems to be more focussed on the short-term imperative of survival, debt-reduction & grubbing around for a turn-up.

Apologies for the negativity. My remaining holding will ensure I keep managing the thread in the best way I can for some considerable time yet, as there is so poor liquidity in the stock.

BOD, if you are reading this, it's really time to pony-up the facts and not the dreams!
You surely cannot have yet another AGM where you give shareholders some carefully crafted enthusiastic words about things like Bittibulag but, continue to give no material facts on these locations. It's nothing more than BS.
The conventions your own staff have presented at about Bittibulag have proven it a non-starter but, you continue to suggest it is a goer. That is disingenuous, at best!

Opportunity to build up stake at this level... we have come down on very low volume.
Is gold going to have a rally after the US rate decision?

As stated last week we need to get the bad news out of the way for February. February being a short month, the poor weather and low grade ore should mean expectations are low for last month. A bonus result will be if they are on par with January.

Seeing buying enthusiasm has been subdued, decided to repurchase a slice; 21.18p ~ at lows over recent months.
Even if the POG holds above recent lows, accept this may well go a fair bit lower as good news from production and/or exploration very probably at least a few weeks away.
Guess I'll be buying in higher volume to extent the "bottom drawer" is presented.
Hard to see sub 15p unless POG tanks and/or production disappoints badly.

AAZ gets a mention in this story.

The AzerGold company, which is engaged in exploration, development and management of non-ferrous metal deposits, plans to produce almost 1.3 tons of gold and two tons of silver at the Chovdar mine in Azerbaijan’s Dashkasan district in 2017, according to the report on the activities of the Azerbaijani government for 2016.

In the subsequent years, the company plans to start production at other fields, namely Filizchay and Mazimchay in Azerbaijan’s Balakan district, as well as at the Goydag site in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said the report.

AzerGold CJSC was created Feb. 11, 2015. The company uses new technologies in exploration, development and management of non-ferrous metal deposits, modernization of the material and technical sources and their effective use, as well as other work for developing this sphere.

As much as 2.1 tons of gold, 5.3 tons of silver and 1.94 tons of copper concentrate were produced at the Gadabay field in Azerbaijan in 2016 within the PSA (Production Sharing Agreement) contract with the US company RV Investment Group Services.

RV Investment Group Services is a subsidiary of Anglo Asian Mining PLC, which is a gold, copper and silver producer with a broad portfolio of production and exploration assets in Azerbaijan.

Anglo Asian Mining PLC has the right to develop six fields in south-west of Azerbaijan: Gadabay, Ordubad, Gosha Bulag, Gizil Bulag, Vejnali and Soyutlu.

The gold produced at the fields is sent to Switzerland for purification. The ingots are delivered to Azerbaijan and are stored in the government’s account.

Zhockey, loan transfer is nothing to do with the company. Is Just banks adjusting their loan book to risk exposure in different country's, as per announcement no change to the company's position in the matter.

Paint should at least be touch dry by now

Yes payment must have been made. Only 6 to go now. Debt will be repaid rapidly this year as the interest shrinks quickly now

Wonder how the water plant has progressed? Minor news really but would be interesting to hear.

Meanwhile... drill drill drill

I think this is a period of consolidation for AAZ and the share price. The market wants some certainty with 2017/ 2018 production. There is currently very little exploration upside priced in so the next update on that is key. Hopefully they will do a better job of presenting it.

Possibly Brasso ..... weather is certainly now on the up and daily temps have been into the teens this month.Should be supportive for exploration ... must be horrible trying to do that in winter time, locked in a tent by the drill.Presumably the Feb capital sum was paid as scheduled.

Matt

I expect there will be some poor production results to get over in the next 2 weeks for February. This will be due to the bad weather and low grades ore we are mining at present. Then maybe AAZ will start making month on month improvements through the rest of the year.
