Suspension more likely than placing ! Directors have enough for a years salary or 2 and that is about it . Can’t see the market backing a placing .. AYM not delivered anything in its many years ..

Nice development ....

Anglesey Mining plc (AIM:AYM), the UK minerals development company, is pleased to announce it has entered into an agreement to acquire an additional 29.8% of Grängesberg Iron AB (“GIAB”), the entity that owns the Grängesberg Iron Ore Project in Sweden, taking Anglesey’s stake to 49.75%.

I would imagine we will get some media today from the company, if I recall correctly Jo, the CEO, said increasing the stake in Grängesberg would give the company more options, there is significant value in both of AYM's projects it just needs a catalyst, a material JV partner would suffice.

This is a very good deal for Anglesey, the cost is well within the company's ability and the shares being issued to the vendors (at 3p - a premium) are likely to be held onto, in any-case cannot be sold for at least 12 months as they will be held in escrow.

As the CEO said during a recent interview by increasing AYM's stake in the project will open up new doors for a JV or other corporate action.

Well done, the shares look cheap.

These are legacy issues which are over complicated and lead to connected party conflicts in some cases..I'm pretty sure Jo is trying to tidy things up ..but it took a few decades creating a messy structure so may take a few years to clean it up.Parys of course is 100% owned and with the price of copper now again on the up ..funding options become more flexible and available I'm sure.

Do not disagree that the company now might be on the radar of major Swedish interests as it gives a clear line to owning a major strategic asset. I reckon though they would find Anglesey a willing seller at the right price so would not need to take it over ..but there is always that threat if terms could not be reached.

I remain quite hopeful and have seen this as the possible jewel in the crown for AYM. Tbh, I do find the analysis of who owns what, lends how much, on what terms, where liabilities lie etc. a little complicated. That said, I trust Anglesey to have crunched the numbers and and come up with the best possible deal at the time. Where the shares go today is anyone's guess given Mr Market can be quite fickle! Gla.

We should see a nice pop in the share price today, other small cap miners have already bottomed and started turn upwards over the last couple of months, we still have a resource upgrade to come as well

The risk (depends on your exit point) is AYM are now prime for a takeover.

A company with 2 locations in mainland Europe with proven resource.
You could buy AYM, push Grängesberg into production and sell of Parys land for more than the current market cap.

Interesting..consolidating ownership with the vendor taking Anglesey paper at 3p and locked in for 12 months. Gives Anglesey a much greater incentive to now push this forward and look to find a local partner. Talk of additional valuable metals including rare earths also positive. Hope Jo does a interview on this as it could extrapolate more on plans. We now own c50% of an assets with NPV Of $100Ms..Everything to play for and little in the current valuation.
