At this rate Newland will be asking for the options to be rebased.
This is typical of many biotech stocks. The "hope" value is usually significant and if and when that hope is turned into something tangible the market wants to see the strategy instead of soundbites and self reward. What would have been good is if the committee had stated when you take the FDA approval you will be rewarded along with all of your shareholders instead of rewarding for doing part of the job. No point having gold standard approval if nothing tangible comes of it. I'm afraid that this is played out in other companies where academically and technically they have all of the abilities but actually making money seems to be beyond them other than having large salaries, lavish expense accounts and rewarding options with very low criteria set all at the expense of those that finance this, the shareholders. |
What's not Intetwtsing is the share price action here . Being held down and management have no news or way to get it to recover .
Now resorting possibly to a strategy I mentioned years ago because they don't have the clout or contacts in the USA to get deals done but after 250m shares of dillution later . Well done .
FSP will do for me but won't see many long term holders in profit I reckon |
Interesting that Carl Ican has gone activist with Illumina re the price they paid for grail! |
Full Expensing should help Angle Obviously this assumes they are actually doing something these days. |
As confirmed this morning by a well respected poster, Angle will be presenting at the prestigious AACR (American Association for Cancer Research) in April. Attendance at this major conference is by invitation only & (as I understand it) must feature within the presentation as yet unpublished data. |
An fsp could come, but more likely could be a formal partnership deal with a US based company with a larger and more influential sales/ marketing force...similar to the approach of STX. They too have an FDA approved product ...for anaemia .. but could not turbo charge commercialisation in the US market.
They have agreed to give up a share of future earnings in return for ready to go sales force.
That could be the motivation behind the recent hedge fund coming on board? |
Hence why they are not quoting on other stocks. |
My broker says it looks like they are having problems..so not agl specific |
I have looked at other stocks and they are not quoting. Seems strange as they are a big player in the retail market. |
No idea. The quotes were there and they just deleted them. Could be an error. |
What if anything does that mean/imply? |
Winterfloods have withdrawn their bid and offer. |
Very sadly Im afraid that's the way I think we are heading. Although there is some cash runway. Management appear to have exhausted the runway on their strategy which for whatever reason appears to have failed. |
Also might explain the afternoon rise....
"I re-opened a long position today."
He has quite a following.... |
Interesting to note Myles McNulty response to Paul Hill.
I have to say I begin to think that in current circumstances a formal sale process is something that might have to be considered- unless there are some significant wins in next few months. I would suggest pre-AGM.
We are all familiar with the issues: - need for funds in 2024 - huge potential dilution if raised around current levels
Obviously any sale is likely to be be far below our expectations post-FDA. but we must live in the real world as it is. Formal sale process is likely to draw out better bids - and avoid an opportunistic low hostile bid succeeding.
The LTIP & employee options could just help tip the scales? |
End of Feb was nine months but yes if anything is coming expect it in the next 4 to 6 weeks before the AGM . Don't see them wanting to face shareholders atm empty handed and with the share price down here . Holding on to little snippets atm but don't think anyone is confident anymore either more hoping |
BonesNine months is about up so still in range. Lets see what happens over the next few days/weeks. |

Thanks for posting the reply you received and whilst I partly agree with Vitec and the comments of some others I do at least appreciate getting some extra clarification such as the following extract:-
"Under the Company’s existing bonus scheme, these achievements qualified for a cash bonus for the year, which was considered but not awarded. Instead, the Remuneration Committee decided that a new LTIP award with a three-year vesting period, subject to share price appreciation criteria, and a further two-year holding period, would be better aligned with shareholder interests."
and whilst I still question the level at which the options vest at least there is some logic in that explanation. |
From here yes certainly just have to be patient though things tend to move slowly here. I see the nano crew still moaning after the event lol |
Thank you BonesHave been keeping an eye here, seems a good opportunity |
Yeah very strange trading today . Let's hope it's a good one when it comes
