There's a number of things that bother me about these options. Firstly the fact they are free for the Directors when all the other staff have to pay for theirs (i'm not against the staff getting share options).
Secondly the low hurdle for the whole lot to vest. AIUI the share price only needs to reach around 55p for them all to vest. I don't believe this is a testing target, if it's market sentiment and high interest rates that have put us down here, a change of sentiment and perhaps some good news from the prostate trial could easily see us at 55p.
Thirdly that the Directors will benefit to the tune of around £3m between them I think if this low hurdle is reached.
I would be far happier if 1) they had to pay for them and 2) the strike price for them all to vest was much higher and 3) the Directors had less options. |
Reach out to II’s as AN & co really don’t give a toss (made that very clear)? GFI won’t want another WAND type situation and along with other II’s could push then out with sweet FA, what they truly deserve!? |
It's not silly but you always need to be careful of what you wish for. Nuclear explosions cause a lot of damage. Even losing AN could in the round be damaging.
In this case perhaps the pressure is best applied to seek to have the LTIP strike price better aligned with shareholder interests. Maybe at least at £1 |
'Who said america would be an easy but to crack'...LOL |
Well over many years Arthur has seemed to me to be a sensible voice of reason and for him to say that means we have a problem...
I have had a few email exchanges with AN over the many years I have been here and I think I will be mailing in a slightly less amicable tone over the weekend
Worryingly with the strange interview affer FDA, the current failure of the company and this blatant act of greed I wonder if there is actually a problem with ANs state of mind.. |
I must admit i've supported AN up to now, but these options look like pure greed to me.
As far as I understand it if the share price gets to around 55p AN and RG get to trouser around £3m.
Maybe fevertreeman has a point. |
Waterloo . Just had a read but not that simple on my phone atm . How instead it is AN has given himself options over 6m shares depending on performance . If the sharepeice rises 30% he gets to acquire all 6m shares . Not exactly setting the bar Hugh there is he from a 25p starting price fgs .
Meanwhile Mr Griffith's has options at 173p. Seems to me someone definitely looking after his own Interests there .
Think it's easy to see why this was taken so negatively in light of the recent shareprice decimation at the hands of AN and the worst RNs in January I have seen . Does seem like he's sticking 2 fingers up to shareholders atm big time |
It really is time for major shareholders to remove AN. He is not the right chap to steer this Co. and the latest RNS simply adds to the plethora pf reasons for him to depart. |
andy , you da leader man Do it. |
It's not just AN though
There's supposedly a remuneration committee in place.
Clearly they're not looking after all shareholder needs |
how to destroy shareholder value and confidence the andrew newland way what a guy |
He is 60 ish isn't he? Maybe the FDA finished him off energy wise and now it's time to crash the share price load up on shares and options and sell out for 75p |
well i have been saying it all along that AN is a disaster for shareholders . here we are a decade on at near 10 year lows even with fda approval but no deals . now with a shocking january rns that was diabolical and now awarding options for abject failure really is a v sign to long term holders .
why he has so many fans is beyond me but this shows the true quality of the guy |
No email replies from the company in the last week. Shock. Not sure how they could defend this.Just have to hope the deals they have (hopefully) lined up are good enough to get the share price moving in the right direction.Gla |
Disappointing andy! |
Well Newland has delivered. He has delivered for himself and his cronies. It is disgusting that they are rewarded when shareholders are suffering but this is AIM. Most companies are run as personal ffiefdoms and for those on the inside with total disregard for those that actually own the company. Remember this was a man that stated he was well off and did not need the money. He was doing this to make the world a better place. Well Mr Newland he is a challenge. If money means nothing to you then when your NIL COST options are taken up and you benefit from them, how about donating all of the money to Cancer charities. |
74tom, missed that, it's the staff who who have to pay for the options but not the top dogs! |
W"ell at least they have to pay for them, they are often at no cost, and have to hold for 2 years post vesting. They could/should have set a tougher target, but it's not a major issue in the long run, as long as they deliver."
The 6m granted to Newland & Griffiths are exercisable at nil cost...
"Grant of nil-cost LTIP options over ordinary shares under the ANGLE plc LTIP Scheme"
Utterly moronic. |
Someone just sold 90k @24.4p....what a sad situation..I should have acted on that disaster interview that AN did after FDA approval...
Lost all faith in AN and team...but have too many at much higher prices and am trapped though like many..after all these years they have gone nowhere with shareholder value and now try a last roll of the dice to enrich themselves by getting the price into the 50s |
Well at least they have to pay for them, they are often at no cost, and have to hold for 2 years post vesting. They could/should have set a tougher target, but it's not a major issue in the long run, as long as they deliver. |
I hope the major shareholders here look to take steps against the BOD after this latest RNS. IMO it shows a complete lack of respect to LTH's and another typical example of AIM BOD standards. I hope you guys end up making a profit here one day, but the potential rewards keep getting reduced by such behaviour. Not the rewards for the BOD of course. More front than Blackpool! Good luck to you all. |
Have management done it now as they know news is around the corner that has the potential to move the share price higher. Could they be filling their boots. Nice management like these guys wouldn't do that would they? |
