New broker note from H&P

Andrada Mining’s (“ATM”) transformation from junior tin producer to districtscale lithium developer in Namibia has yet to be fully appreciated by the market,
in our view. ATM is set to become the first UK-listed producer of lithium upon commissioning of its pilot facility at Uis over the coming weeks, having confirmed a significant M&I Resource in February and a first petalite bulk sample in May.

We believe the strategic process to select a funding partner for Uis following unsolicited interest from multiple parties could lead to considerably larger share price gains than the 13% rally in ATM since it was announced. We note, for example, Kodal Minerals’ shares have risen more than three-fold through its process, while precedent transactions and peer-group multiples suggest that ATM should be trading on a multiple >4x where it is currently. Even this underestimates the long-term value of ATM, in our view, with the prospect of resource expansion, modular production growth through the addition of oresorting technology, and ongoing lithium market tightness driving a 40% uplift in our DCF-based, risked sum-of-the-parts to 35 GBp per share, +483% from the current share price.

However, we note the strategic funding process may eliminate the need for cash from Orion, while ATM assesses further funding options for Phase 2. Our increased petalite price assumption drives a 40% uplift in our DCF-based, risked valuation for ATM to 35 GBp per share with +483% upside

Since appointing Barclays and the public knowledge of numerous offers more will have come in.

The challenge will be to avoid a company takeover bid to take the huge lithium resource and tin. Any bid for the company would have to be 20p plus.

I think the caveat about exporting for testing purposes will likely cover Andrada for now, and since they are clearly trying to get huge investment and really flying the flag for Namibia, hard to see the gov getting in the way too much. AV is about the best advert possible for Namibia, particularly with the companies strong focus on local employment and empowerment.

but much like the rumour of taking a stake in historic companies, this might not be enforced

I meant CREO, not 1SN ! But worth looking at 1SN too if you like the tin space.

Good to see you taking an interest in First Tin (1SN) someuwin Think it could do well from current market cap and CEO keeps buying shares including very recently. Like the look of the chart too :)

The trouble with AIM is that far too often the value of the company increases only by the issuance of new shares and we holders get diluted and the share price goes nowhere. I do get the feeling that AV is in this for the long haul and will seek to get us a good outcome, but heads get turned by cash. If there was to be a bid, 15p would be the minimum I would be content with. If there is no bid then I will happily see this through the next 5-10 years, taking money off the table as we go. But surely a company looking in and being asked to stump up say $200m for x % of a project may think that money would be better spent taking out the company for a similar price and getting their hands on the full assets. All academic and it will all play out. Just hope we shareholders fully benefit.

I would be devastated to lose these shares especially for a paltry bid, I much prefer the long game and see the value come out.

Me too UKGeorge. Although it would be good to see what the company could become over the next 5-10 years (as I am sure AV could/ will create a mininig monster), on the other hand a nice bid at 15p would be enough to tempt me. I don't get that lucky sadly. I sold out of SUR days before a bid after holding for years.
