07/8/2019 16:33 | Ramping cartel comments like below are unhelpful when in just the last 24 hours 9 million share overhang from loan interest conversion to equity plus another 100 million shares still to convert plus $1.8 billion financing over 10 years before production. The RNS today just a distraction from the real financial crisis at AMC. sub 1 pence Death spiral! ____________________ Patio58 7 Aug '19 - 15:32 - 1107 of 1107 Market Cap is 14m, we will be worth £1.4b soon, 100 bagger = 2 pound. ____________________ | ebomber

07/8/2019 15:05 | Surely you have to measure patience against dilution? Being patient simply because it’s a virtue in life is not a blueprint for success on AIM. What about the first round on investors in AMC at 33p. Where has lots and lots of patience got them? (Other than stuck down a well). | jackbal

07/8/2019 14:30 | Looking very good for a massive payout. Those who havent been adding ad these level of fear (spread by crooks on the other thread) will just have to watch from the side line. I was once buying in to many of the miners in Tanzania. one of those was SHG. I initially went in heavy then as the price dropped from my 5-6p buys, I slowly topped up (in hindsight, it should have been the other way round). Time passed and I forgot about it, bottom draw kinda thing. Looking at it today (9.1p buy-in), I am in some healthy profit. Money that I has, essentially written off. Have a look at the number of share issued over that time and currently in issue. It's life, those with patience reap the rewards. Patience is what AIM Miners is all about (after the research ofcourse), just lots and lots of patience. AMC I know will be flying when the deal comes through. Adding at every opportunity and as funds become available. DYOR, then DYOR AGAIN. No advice is intended here. | duxy786

07/8/2019 11:32 | Free Tesla Supercharging, VW ID R efficiency, nickel shortages, robot chargers: Today's Car News Eric C. Evarts ERIC C. EVARTS AUGUST 6, 2019 COMMENT NOW! Tesla brought back free unlimited Supercharging for the Model S and Model X. When the VW ID R electric race car set a new lap record at Germany's Nurburgring, it demolished other records, too. Concerns over prices and availability of materials for EV batteries may not be about lithium. And our latest Twitter poll asks readers if automated chargers would be useful to them. All this and more on Green Car Reports. After CEO Elon Musk claimed that free, lifetime Supercharging was not sustainable, Tesla has brought back the feature on its high-end Model S and Model X vehicles, with some caveats. Even as it set a record for electric cars at Germany's famous Nurburgring-Nordschl Concerns over prices and supplies of battery materials for electric cars go beyond lithium. A bigger concern, according to a Bloomberg report, may be nickel. After a report that Electrify America is developing a new robot to plug in fleets of autonomous cars, our latest Twitter poll asks readers if such a thing would be useful to them, or if wireless charging is a better idea. Finally, Porsche plugs in an electric race program and launches a new carbon-offset program in the U.S. ____________________ | gizmohican
07/8/2019 11:29 | Battery supply shortages may be linked to rising demand for nickel Eric C. Evarts ERIC C. EVARTS AUGUST 6, 2019 9 COMMENTS View Gallery As automakers fret over materials and supplies of electric car batteries, it may not be lithium keeping executives up at night. A new report from Bloomberg reveals that prices for class one nickel—high purity and required in some electric car batteries—has jumped more than 35 percent since the end of 2018 on the London Metal Exchange. As volume production of new EV models and plug-in hybrids expands—and Tesla works to bring its new Chinese factory online—supplie Nickel isn't a necessary ingredient in all electric-car batteries, but it is a key part of the compound that makes up most successful automotive lithium batteries. Auto- and battery-makers add compounds of nickel, manganese, cobalt to batteries to help stabilize battery cathodes, making the batteries last longer and be less susceptible to thermal runaway, which can lead to fires. Tesla Model 3 all-wheel drive Performance rolls off a new assembly line in a temporary structure Tesla Model 3 all-wheel drive Performance rolls off a new assembly line in a temporary structure The amounts of those materials vary and is proprietary to each automaker and battery supplier, but most commercial battery chemists name nickel as a necessary component to build stable, long-lasting, and powerful lithium-ion batteries. Such high-quality nickel is also a primary component in nickel-metal-hydride batteries still used in many hybrids. Nickel also remains in demand for other products, such as stainless steel. Bloomberg New Energy Finance forecasts that demand for nickel will multiply 16 times by 2030, and half of that is expected to go into batteries. "The dramatic price rise we’ve seen will pale into insignificance compared to the future,’’ Experts in related fields have also expressed concern over supplies of cobalt, which some say is the most critical element in balancing power and stability in batteries. Cobalt historically has been mined mainly in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where it has been associated with child labor. Automakers have made strides to develop sources of socially responsible cobalt. While some automakers have run into shortages of lithium batteries, and it's unclear whether sufficient supplies of lithium will come online in time to meet increasing demand by automakers, some lithium mining companies have expressed concern about short term price drops as new mines have come online before large numbers of EV arrive. Since NMC makes up only a small portion of the components of lithium batteries and pales in comparison with lithium itself, battery prices could still come down, even as prices of these minority metals rises—up to a point. Sustained price hikes though could take a toll on the affordability of both batteries and electric cars. | gizmohican
