18/2/2008 16:32 | big sell gone through well under bid, wonder if its CVS selling out. they've been selling an awful lot of holdings of late. worrying times for CVS me thinks | humbugg
18/2/2008 15:55 | Not sure. I think we have experienced generally a strong market. Investors don't like to wait around for risky start ups. There's always another share that looks promising... I think I'll hold these for 6-12months. I think there are enough positives which make this a good looking investment. Askewg PS. I think my average price is about 5p. | askewg
18/2/2008 15:46 | thanks askewg, why do you think share price was hammerred? are you looking for an entry point? I do not have a position on dtec. | panagos
18/2/2008 15:44 | Sent an email to a director who replied back that there were no issues over the IP. Which I didn't think there would be. Just have to sit back and wait for the time being. | askewg
18/2/2008 11:47 | Well that's interesting I will certainly look into it but I am sure that there are no problems with IP. | askewg
18/2/2008 09:51 | askewg, I do not think there is one, but i've read somewhere don't remember where that the company that the invetor of the diamond sorting technology used to work prior dtec could claim for owinership and that ip was invented during his time there. dyor | panagos
18/2/2008 09:48 | I was under the impression that there was no court case pending. Can I ask you where you heard/saw that? The price has gone down quite a bit since I invested but I have always been confident in seeing a gain as soon as things get moving. Investing in a start up is always risky but I can see a lot of positives at this moment in time. | askewg
15/2/2008 14:26 | Thank you Affhouse, interesting company, got this on my monitor, interesting technology, although I am worried due to the fact that the previeus employer of the invetor of the sorting machine claims ownership of the IP, and am not sure if there is a court case pending, or if they are planning to go to courts. IP is what's really worth in this company imho, although I might be wrong as I have not researched in depth. | panagos
15/2/2008 14:22 | Just so we're clear I bought at 11p. I topped up just a few days ago at 3.3p. I am not here to ramp, I am here to engage in a positive discussion about a company I am sure will rise considerably. I have listened to the problems they have had especially with the weather and also the power cuts and I am certain that they have worked on good solutions to these problems... In April they complete work on an all weather plant and they have just invested in generators. I am also happy to read the reports about the intital mining and personally I can see how this will develop in future months and years. | affhouse
15/2/2008 12:55 | Affhouse, shouldn't you have spoken to them before you buy quite big in at 11p? | panagos
14/2/2008 15:49 | In my opinion this look like a great start up. Having spoken to one of the DTEC team I think he sounds honest and professional and will succeed. I am amazed the share isn't yet soaring. | affhouse
14/2/2008 11:58 | DTEC have recently secured funding to accelerate the diamond recovery process. With additional heavy duty earth moving equipment they expect high volume processing to begin by the end May. This hopefully bodes well for the not too distant future! | aston lynds
13/2/2008 10:33 | Well we had some good news yesterday and from what I hear there are other positives to come. For example I've heard that Dtec really suffered in the last few months from bad weather but they have nearly finished making one of their operations weather proof and therefore wont be affected by bad weather. Anybody else looking at these at the moment? | affhouse
14/12/2007 08:28 | 14 December 2007 DiamondTech Inc. ('DiamondTech' or 'the Company') First Production Results - Initial Yields on Target DiamondTech (AIM: DTEC), the manufacturer and operator of laser diamond sorting machines, is pleased to announce that its first bank of Laser Recovery Units (' LRU's) on the Grasfontein site in South Africa is operating as expected and successfully recovering diamonds in line with the Company's initial target yields (measured in terms of carats per hundred tons). The initial recovery yields have come from the first stage processing of 'digger debris' ('tailings') which are expected to be the lowest yielding of the material to be processed at Grasfontein. Following further processing of the tailings to establish yield and grade, the current bank of operational LRUs will start to process the remaining three material groups to establish the yield and grade in each group. The Company looks forward to making further announcements in the first quarter 2008 which will contain detailed data on yields and grades once sufficient material has been processed. The production at Grasfontein has been affected by the uncharacteristically severe wet weather being experienced in the region over the past few weeks. The current front-end processing plant, which has a processing capacity of 500 (five hundred) tons per day, does not have sufficient drying capability to remove the excess water on the run of mine material produced as a result of the recent severe weather experienced and as such the volume of run of mine material available for sorting by the LRUs has been below expectations. However, the weather forecast for the region indicates that conditions are set to improve and the Company is confident of being able to increase processing volumes over the coming weeks to make up for the shortfall over this recent period. The significantly larger new front-end processing plant is on schedule to be commissioned in early February 2008 which will initially feed a bank of eight LRU sorting units with run of mine material. The manufacture of LRUs is in line with expectations and additional LRUs will be added to the new Grasfontein plant over the six months following its commissioning to bring the plant up to its full sorting capacity of 5,000 (five thousand) tons per day. As a result processing volumes are set to increase rapidly throughout the first half of 2008 and will be unaffected by a repetition of severe wet weather conditions as this new processing plant will have sufficient drying capability to operate at full capacity even during severe wet weather conditions as recently experienced in the region. Commenting on the initial results, Graham Butt, Chairman, said: 'We are delighted with the initial yields which clearly show that the LRU technology can produce diamonds from even the lower yielding tailings and we look forward to the results as the team progressively works through to the higher yielding material on the site. These results have been achieved despite the freak wet weather conditions which the region has been experiencing and which have hampered operations in the region generally.' | eternaloptimist
12/12/2007 14:18 | Anyone got an opinion on these? | affhouse

As always DYOR | fitehills

16/11/2007 11:31 | Better thread as share price looks like its turning positively now.!!! | topinfo
16/11/2007 10:17 | Looks like it. Will take that as a sign of confidence then. Looks like a large seller has been taken out so hopefully that was the reason for the fall and with a bit of director interest one would hope to see it bounce back now. We'll see! | dime
16/11/2007 09:42 | and today? | humbugg
