10/5/2006 12:12 | BitterLemonTart, Sounds good. Maybe that's why someone just bought @ 240,000 shares :8 ) | yotter

10/5/2006 10:13 | Yes netcurtains good to highlight this point but does AMT have any HD boxes in the pipeline and if so is its only customer Sky? | aari
03/5/2006 19:21 | from HDTV UK 3rd May 2006 Sky confirms HD launch is May 22nd Well after months of speculation Sky finally confirmed today that its HD service would launch on Monday May 22nd. At least that's when its first round of installations will begin. It is a tad behind schedule but still leaves plenty of time to get its HD service spot on in time for the World Cup which starts on June 10th. Apparently over 40,000 customers have signed up for HD, which sounds like a reasonable number to us. In its press release Sky says that 40,000 is more than the total number of Sky+ box sales in the first year. | hufhaus
03/5/2006 17:11 | Some big buys today and negligible sales. Patience is a virtue with this one and I still reckon that at this price, these shares are a raving bargain. Some good news? A special dividend? Anything positive could mean it's breakout time for this, to who knows where but I'm staying fully long until £3, at least. | yotter
03/5/2006 16:55 | I'm very happy ! (Bought some more) | yotter
03/5/2006 14:55 | I think he'll pick the girl from Hull to be the apprentice. John | netcurtains

01/5/2006 10:40 | melfaraj - 1 May'06 - 11:25 - 3347 of 3348 blt, alan sugar is learing which side his bread is buttered then!! he is surrounding himself with vital, young and highly talanted individuals with in depth knowledge of the market, i take it!! certainly the pe ratio of 6 is very low. if this sector rotation is to continue then amt should do the trick. it rose x22 a couple of years ago when i monotonosly reported on it day after day. boring, boring ....... i am looking for the next one dimensional boring stock. we had oxb, x33, amt x22. i now hope that ind would pick up again despite its current dizzy height. | ![]() bitterlemontart
01/5/2006 09:50 | From the FAR5 thread.... melfaraj - 1 May'06 - 10:18 - 3344 of 3345 blt, amt will go to £5 on breakout! on what basis. would that be the vis factor! BitterLemonTart - 1 May'06 - 10:47 - 3345 of 3345 edit mel - purely on the fundies....AMT are one of the most undervalued plays on the LSE....cash of £50M +....decent and fast increasing divi {great in an ISA}....profits being upgraded....low PE of 6....etc, etc....what the charts say....well over to you there! P.S. - the vis factor has also got to be taken in to account....as Sir Alan was just saying the other day....lol! | ![]() bitterlemontart
01/5/2006 09:40 | darrin1471 - yes, my investment was based on the favourable fundamentals you refer to as opposed to an in-depth knowledge of the sector or the products involved. However, I know more than I did a fortnight ago which is all part of it for me. Thanks for taking the time to respond and good luck with your investments. | hufhaus
30/4/2006 09:30 | From the FAR5 thread.... mel - reckon that based on the fundies and techies....that AMSTRAD / AMT....is getting ready to go for the chart breakout northwards....if it makes it....AMT will in my view go to £5 + | ![]() bitterlemontart
30/4/2006 08:49 | darrin1471. Thanks for your prompt albeit dimissive response. I'm not over-concerned with how current the information is but with its relevance. A buy recommendation from the Telegraph 9/10 weeks ago at a price almost identical to now is I would argue, relevant. You're absolutely right of course with respect to half year/full year error, whether that necessarily means the rest of the article is without substance is debatable. Am I to assume that you disagree with the article's recommendation and/or that events have taken place since that have reduced its relevance? I respect your opinion and am genuinely intetested. | hufhaus
30/4/2006 07:35 | hufhaus: The point was that this is not new information. At the time it was released, this bb ridiculed the inaccuracies of the article. How can a financial journalist recommend a buy when they confuse interim and final results? Financial journalists on the whole are sh*t and they are fed stories by those who will benefit from the stories being published. Their use of grammar is however better than mine. | ![]() darrin1471
29/4/2006 16:02 | Forgive me darrin1471, I don't understand your question. Can you elaborate? | hufhaus
