ST's conclusion is:

'My fair value target price is 100p, which could prove conservative.'

Appears to have dropped off the radar a tad recently, but perhaps ready for some upward movement ahead of results nex month. EPS of 6.9p for next year, according to Brokers, which ranks quite well against others in the area. But, add in the huge cash position along with the recent tax duty rebates, then the mkt cap of under £45m looks cheap to me.

Have to agree with that, Gervais Williams is quite adept at seeking out undervalued situations, which is certainly the case here.

certainly interesting. Miton UK Smaller Companies Trust ( + Diverse Income Trust ( are run by Gervais Williams who has been a highly successful fund manager. nice to see him taking an interest here.

RNS regarding Miton upping their stake over 5%Institutional buying is always a good thing in my book! :-)

very nice indeed. If you take the cash position now and the mkt cap, the business isn't valued very much. The share price should be a whole lot higher...surely!

heyho2 - thanks for that.

One of the interesting things is their forecast - whereas the PTP is similar to other brokers the EPS is much lower (for this year 4.6p - consensus 6.13p). I have decided that this is because they have assumed full tax and the others haven't. The last annual report states:

"At 30 November 2012, the Group has approximately £37m of unrecognised tax losses and other timing differences available to carry forward to set against future taxable profits".

That should last a few years, but this does flag up the fact that sooner or later earnings growth will be slowed by an increasing tax charge.

Does anyone have a view on the sustainability of the gross margins of AMO? I saw in their recent results that they gave reasons for the increase in Fy12 vs FY11 however the increase within FY12 was also pretty incredible - 35.4% in H1 and 48.2% in H2.

is there a view that these will go >50% in FY13 or conversely is there any reason why the margin in H2 was flattering and we should expect slightly lower?

Any views appreciated
Thanks
