Nice idea BG but Goldilocks (despite her name) claims not to be blonde. I think she'll have to work on becoming Chrissie Hynde.
Pleased that you'll play bass guitar. We now need a lead guitarist.

I think there is no risk that agreement canot go through ,it's just corroupt and slow system ,which is real frustration .Zubair n aminex both knows how to handle the govt paper work.Delay is still risk but it's not linked to government and election directly .I did little more top-up to bring my AVG down which is still 1.20.

my response to RoJo (on the other side) a few days back, might be relevant just here, where in one of his posts he suggests,

RoJo "My guess is that they are more likely not to sign now."

there is no logic to that, if the Gov have no intension of signing off the farm-out, then why did they grant Aminex the Mtwara PSA licence extension back in April, as you know, it's the PSA licence that gives Aminex, not only the legal right to pursue the Ntorya development but also with-in it the legal provision to farm-down.

If the Gov (for what ever reason ?) wanted to stop Aminex in its tracks, then they would not had granted the PSA extension, which they could well had found plausible reasons not to, (like unfulfilled well commitments) but they didn't, they chose to grant it, which is why many here still believe the farm-out will be granted.

Ntorya will be a big important development, producing gas for over 30 years, and with the resent PSA review, leads me still with the opinion that the GOV is being scrupulously over cautious with detail, and now, might well be playing politics to maximize political gain, with the signing/announcement and the timing of the upcoming Oct elections ??

Haider

You have not been incorrect yet, despite the doomsters.

We are delayed. Only. If the Govt seize all the assets and kick foreign investment out of the country (which they have never done before, see Barrick) then we can both conclude we came to the wrong conclusion.

I must say that I totally miscalculated the political risk. I knew it was there and it was large, but I thought (incorrectly so far) that the involvement of the Zubairs unlock matters.

Corrupt companies / goverments / individuals are only interested in one thing and that is to line their own pockets with other peoples money . What is amazing here is that AEX keep spewing up the positive agenda .

Risk /reward is why.

The risk in Aminex has changed massively and is now political, not geological or financial (as with farmout their development plan is funded).

I totally agree that anyone who invested here should have done so with the political risk in mind. But its only the last few years that has highlighted the political/regulatory risk as we were all concentrating on the drillbit and the geology/finances.

It still makes no sense to me from the Tz Govt perspective to refuse the farmout. It is a win win for everyone. I firmly believe it will happen.

When it does, what is the risk for Aminex? I suppose there is a welding risk so that its difficult to connect the pipes?
