25/7/2020 19:01 | Thanks Dunderheed. | haideralifool
25/7/2020 18:52 | Haider I have not got a clue? They effectively have full control albeit at 29.9% to do what they want IMHO. I assume they have nurtured this relationship and it has to be said, supported AEX over the years, not for altruism, so they must IMHO, have had some plans for AEX as a publicly listed vehicle - whether that remains the same who knows - as business is constantly evolving? We will no doubt find out soon. Best of luck all. | dunderheed
25/7/2020 18:42 | So based on this view D, whether or not the share price rises by any meaningful amount from here depends on the Zubs desire to use aex's listing? Would you say the move from a main market to AIM listing has any bearing on that? | haideralifool
25/7/2020 17:55 | well that's a shame Dunder, i really enjoyed a lot of the discussions and the banter, but if you feel as strongly as you seem, we best leave it there, so likewise best of luck and look after your self. | blackgold00
25/7/2020 15:13 | Dunder, i think that all your bluster sometimes doesn't help the cause, if its the truth we're after , you've mentioned before, working in the oil/gas, so can you tell us what company's and what capacity you have worked, and to what countries you've represented them ? thanks | blackgold00
25/7/2020 14:13 | edgar have you actually worked in o&g? Especially Africa. | dunderheed
25/7/2020 14:07 | Well said, 888 | edgar222
25/7/2020 13:19 | Ffs wtgr I have represented o&g companies to at least 5 different governments in the African continent alone without going further afield but I stand by uwes expertise in the area. All imho and dyor!! Edit I am also patently aware that the issues now are govt related but the whole company structure and asset mix is the "fault" of previous mgt structure and operational decisions along the way, imho. | dunderheed
25/7/2020 12:31 | I don’t want to get involved in your exchange but I think it is important to note that our current problem is solely down to the Government of Tanzania not signing a document. Over many years the Government have caused all the delays and that is out of the company’s hands. What do people expect the company to do as they have no power to make the Government do anything. If you invest in other resource shares you will know that gaining Government approvals is often the biggest problem and can take many years. It’s very frustrating but it is out of the Directors control. | 888icb
25/7/2020 12:15 | Totally agree.Bulletin boards are populated by people who do not understand how commerce or companies work. These people seem to think that Directors should work for nothing. If I gave up correcting and arguing years ago (and I did) it is only because I have a busy life away from bulletin boards. | edgar222
25/7/2020 11:48 | EE - I have a very good idea of working with assets in Africa / ME. However, please elucidate - how I "literally" have no idea?! So are you telling me clearly - the TSR for AEX since it was listed is acceptable?! Honestly mate - this is way way worse than PHAR - perhaps you are confusing the two - completely out of that league for relative under-performance. I honestly can't remember - but didn't AEX have the Didon assets and divested them before production - and I know coincidentally SIA had them as well - but thought AEX did as well at some point? Those assets actually turned out ok for bouchamaoui (didn't they own Medex?) I "seem" to remember but - could be getting confused - and certainly showing my age now?! The Canyon "acquisition" what value did that add? North Korea?! The American assets?! All potential "company makers"?! The African rig choices - well control issues?! The list goes on and on and on?! All imho and dyor but interested on your take EE - if you're willing to pass opinion - as after all - that is all it is - no advice intended. | dunderheed
25/7/2020 11:15 | You literally have no idea. | emptyend
25/7/2020 11:07 | Of course EE, you're right BH did brilliantly here as can be seen from TSR over the years. Brilliant absolutely brilliant. And before you ask no, I dont have a personal beef with him!! All imho and best of luck all. | dunderheed
25/7/2020 10:38 | You can all stop asking me questions. I know no more than anyone else. If the government allow the company to proceed as planned, that should be positive for everybody. They should, of course......As regards various comments on here about individuals in the past, I note that they are not only ill-informed, in most cases they could not be more wrong if they tried. So it is a pity that such total misconceptions have passed unquestioned over the years. That's all I have to say for now. | emptyend
25/7/2020 10:13 | for me, it looks like now the Zubair's has Aminex as it were as an empty ship, so I'm now wondering (especially after the RA merger comments) which company (that has cash/production) have they been negotiating a merger with, and now maybe, help fill some of those empty directors seats ??) | blackgold00
25/7/2020 09:46 | Might I try a different supplementary question for EE. He might not want to say something publicly that looks like it is criticising the outgoing ex-colleague directors. Is this move positive, negative or neutral for the farmout concluding? To me, fwiw, it points to Aminex rightly trimming it's sails to fit the new Aminex post farmout. Less directors and costs needed as not operator and no funds to raise. So to me it looks like they think the farmout really is about to happen. | edgar222
25/7/2020 07:08 | Oh dear this aint looking too promising. Can I just say one thing though, can we spend a few minutes today, giving a virtual clap for Brian Hall and dwerky as I believe they helped a few members "keep the strength" during the "hard*" times for AEX over on mental central? They certainly are needed now, lol. All imho of course. * times of particularly bad management and ridiculous mistakes for AEX. | dunderheed
25/7/2020 03:57 | "I'm not surprised." Care to expand ee? | glavey
24/7/2020 23:13 | ee thanks for replying - supplementary question though if I may? Do you see the change as positive or negative or neutral for shareholders? | jdk14
24/7/2020 23:04 | Except executive directors throwing the towel in. | pj 1
24/7/2020 22:57 | The disreputable UK stock market would just have been that little bit better if AEX had never existed. Why anyone sticks with this historical complicated POS is beyond me. Even the Chairman now agrees. It's purpose has been to issue a s many shares as possible, not to benefit shareholders. How much did you benefit by emtyend? | pj 1
24/7/2020 22:45 | I'm not surprised. | emptyend
24/7/2020 19:57 | ee - can I ask what's your take on the directorate changes? | jdk14 |
