What a truly disasterous Company for shareholders and a cash cow for Directors, including ex Directors.

US Core Assets- given away for peanuts as they desperately needed cash to survive and couldn't raise capex required to continue operations

Egypt assets- worthless?

Other assets (was it Korea?) given away for nothing

Tanzania- looks like being given away for nothing.

Brian Hall must be laughing his socks offffff!!

yes, and especially when you think just how many $$$$ Aminex has invested in Tanzania over the years, in exploration, $120-140 million ? this all seems ridiculously pointless, unless there is a hidden agender going on. : (

Has Mr Ambrose ever given any thoughts as to why the powers in Tanzania have stitched up the company time and time again , are our Directors straight and honest to the core.

"Ara will buy AEX for nothing..."

Suitably incongruous! ;-)

"Still asking myself why I sold only half at 6p"

As are many I expect.

If you believe the Tanzania government care about Aminex fortunes you really shouldn't be investing 26% down on the day and I predict it will fall further once sign off doesn't happen in 2 weeks time

so Aminex has lost the Namisange prospect, didn't notice that

. "The 1-year licence extension was received during April 2020, which reduced the size of the Mtwara licence to the same area as the Ntorya location area."

It looks like a final try to get this done. Ara will buy AEX for nothing at an even more depressed price and be done with it. That's why they are still happy to put money into it. The only losers will be the AEX shareholders. Still asking myself why I sold only half at 6p.

Must say the PR for the Tanz govt won't look too good if such a big project falls through just before the election. I think the timing and the promise of no more longstops seems like the only hand that could have been played in the circumstances.

Well there's the rub. Tanz government aren't sanctioning the transfer of operatorship to financier, apparently.

Hi Edgar.

You can sell gold for a nice profit. Best mates you say. I bet.

There's no surprises here. Unfortunately. The place is mustard.

RaamLook up Barick gold and their experience. They were in litigation against the Govt, owed millions, licence issues, tax issues. Overnight to a fanfare they became best mates and all issues resolved.

I'm sure all the legal advice to ministers and the president is, you need to sign this farmout now or risk trashing the countrys' reputation and ceasing of any further investment, not to mention a hefty lawsuit in the international court of arbitration..

Maybe the Government will feel sorry for the "shareholders", see the error of their ways, say sorry while giving back the stolen 7 million in revenue and 2 million in so called tax. Why would anyone still hold after the first theft?

I wonder what she'll sing?

So we have a corrupt government who take the cash and do not honour their side of the deal , they are not worth dealing with , what a mess indeed.

888ICB - why do you say that buddy?
Big oil will still invest if they can make money and the amount of money outweighs associated risks, IMHO.

EDIT reserved for Dominic.

LOL guys - the govt. can do what it wants and no-one will give a pooh about little AEX.
They haven't hit schedules themselves many times and ok AEX can sue the govt for return of tax funds paid but that will take years.
The only hope is that Zubs puts AEX out of its misery at what £15-£20 MM max.?
All imho of course.

There is an election underway and they say they want investment. If they fail to give AEX the outstanding approval they will be making Tanzania uninvestible by any responsible company.

This doesn't read good at all folks.

Used to be in AEX years back & kept it on me watch list hoping one day to be back.

Doubt that'll happen!

I think the Government will leave itself open to being sued, not to mention all the other oil majors not wanting to risk the government not honouring agreements after having paid all the required taxes. How can they be trusted on multi billion dollar LNG projects. I expect the government to sign in the next couple of weeks. They were going to sign anyway, so must be ready to do so now they have no option to.
