10/1/2019 09:17 | Really good to see a woman hired to the board. Diversity in leadership is a good sign. | bunbooster2
10/1/2019 09:16 | Regardless of investing strategy, the directors of this company have been paid vast amounts of money over a very long time and achieved a very significant reduction in the wealth of their investors. (maybe as you point out some traders have extracted a profit at times). Their performance against any benchmark is derisory. To say you have made a few bob trading this share over the years does not hide the fact that these directors were put in place to enhance the wealth of its shareholders not to create a casino - something they have failed spectacularly to do and deserve all the criticism and probably more than they actually get. | fireplace22
10/1/2019 09:02 | Fireplace I'm not arguing that long term investment in Aminex has been well rewarded. Clearly not. But investment is a game where the outcome is determined by the investor, NOT by the management of individual companies. If you do not rate management in any particular company then you don't have to invest in it. If an investment does not work out over an 18 year period, then you do not have to hold it for 18 years. What matters is not the investment outcome of individual holdings, but rather the investment performance of the overall portfolio and that really has nothing to do with any individual company, the deficiencies of its management or the vagaries of fortune. I've made money in Aminex by buying low and selling higher. I've done that two or three times (possibly more, I'm not checking my history*). I've taken a pragmatic view of risk and reward and an opportunistic view of timing. I am entitled to take the credit for that. Anyone who has lost money must take responsibility for that different outcome. Card players should not attribute their success or failure to the fall of the cards. Good players win. Bad players lose. Not every hand or every session, but over a reasonable length of time the outcome depends on the player not the dealer. * note I have reported some of these trades here over the years, so you can trawl through and verify what I'm saying. | tournesol
10/1/2019 08:26 | Share price performance says different. 18 years and counting in downtrend - is it a record. | fireplace22
10/1/2019 07:48 | Good summary canigou. That was what I was 'hinting' at. These guys are nowhere near mediocre? What the f new assets r they going to be trusted with lol? | dunderheed
10/1/2019 07:45 | I suspect we need her to help raise funds to pay the rest of them. When the actual truth is we probably don't need any of them any more after farming out to the Zubs.AEX = very interesting assets unfotunately (for us) run by self-serving imbeciles! | canigou2
10/1/2019 07:15 | Great wtf do we need her for? What is she being paid with for crying out loud? Wtf do we need a new broker for as well? | dunderheed
09/1/2019 00:19 | In fairness, I probably overpaid for it. Young man in the shop was convincing (but think he was on commission - hard to see through the smiles and oily sales talk). It fell apart years ago to be honest. I've been keeping up a tiring charade for some time now where I have semi convinced my wife that we should practice a more japanese style of living. Got language tapes from the library, have crafted some towels into kimonos, tea. She still doesn't like sitting on the floor though so I'm going to be very happy when Aminex comes in big this year! I'll be sitting like a king. Might even get a pouffe. | bunbooster2
08/1/2019 21:22 | I have him on filter and his name is unmentionable* however has he been posting the list again perchance? * if you say that name 3 times you turn into a blithering idiot chanting "it's all a conspiracy....it's all a mm, shorting govt conspiracy"! | dunderheed
08/1/2019 21:04 | That's no way to talk about Bun's new sofa | kryptonsnake
08/1/2019 20:33 | Ok, I'll try not to mention it again. Clearly a sore point. SP doing well I see. Is it going down for the last time I wonder? | skinwalker
08/1/2019 11:03 | Mate. Do not bring that up again. Ended up taking out a wonga loan for a new one in the end. Wife complained it was garden furniture (it was a padded cane conservatory sofa - perfectly comfy). I've been in a legal dispute with owners of the wonga assets for several years now. You should see the blooming interest they charge. All smiles when they're getting you to sign up then it's threats when you have a bit of trouble later. Still Aminex should sort that all out for me this year. I'll be laughing. | bunbooster2
08/1/2019 08:56 | Sofa in one piece still then Bun? | skinwalker
08/1/2019 06:23 | No real action yet in 2019! | bunbooster2

07/1/2019 09:11 | Big share price drop today. Wonder if the EGM vote wasn't as clear cut as it seemed. Or perhaps something else... | bunbooster2
06/1/2019 22:49 | Sorry Pete no I didn't buddy. I'll look now, just got pretty awful personal problems at the moment so not posting much. Thanks mate. | dunderheed
