05/8/2015 17:07 | ngms27, so after the Tanzi government spent $150m on the new Songo Songo gas plant they're going to let it lie idle then? Hmm, with elections looming I'd say exelent campaigning then. and just to remind you that Orca uses the old gas plant on the island, plus their gas deliverability is down by about 15 mmcfd compared to a couple of years ago. also i don't know how much progress has been made here. (Tanzania: IPTL Switch-to-Gas Order Under Close State Watch) "THE government is closely monitoring envisaged plans to expand and convert the Heavy Furnace Oil (HFO) fired-power plants at Independent Power Tanzania Limited (IPTL) as ordered by the High Court last" | blackgold00
05/8/2015 15:38 | warbaby43 bang on the money. Is there actually demand yet? I fear not and all the current demand will be met by Wentworth/M&P. AEX being frozen out IMHO for failure to meet obligations and links to the past Minister. | ngms27
05/8/2015 14:00 | I wonder what the Kiswahili word is for manana (with a squiggly accent) I do continue to have reservations as to whether there will be current gas powered electricity plant capacity demand to utilize new supply from Kiliwani. His Imminence and others bang on about new gas supply being desperately demanded by the government but there needs to be either new or converted electricity plant of adequate capacity to make use of such additional resource. Bunbooster2 and blackgold00 have always been much more bullsish on this issue and no doubt they will be able to argue my scepticism is unjustified. | warbaby43
05/8/2015 11:54 | Two more 250k buys today. That's insti style. | haggismchaggis
05/8/2015 11:53 | I don't think so. See yesterday's trading, several 250k blocks. | haggismchaggis
05/8/2015 08:24 | the question is has Majedie finished buying in the market yet? | blackgold00
04/8/2015 10:37 | Too true! Insti placees get all the info including detailed plans of how the company plan to make their investment multiply. If Insti continues to buy after the placing it has to be seen as very bullish for the stock. Make the most of it before the overhang is cleared. | haggismchaggis
04/8/2015 10:11 | As Majedie were partakers in the June placing and then carried on buying in the open market after the placing would indicate, that they would had put more funds into the placing if given the chance, but also, they like what the AEX board are telling them, re; the prospects of (Ntorya-2 the N-1 side-track, and the planned refinancing of the Company's corporate loan facility), and no doubt they've had the privilege of a wee bit more info than the rest of us mere mortals. | blackgold00
04/8/2015 08:44 | I am surprised that another post recent Placing 3%+ holder has not emerged - so far. At the time of the big 2014 Placing, after accounting for Twins', other directors', PI's and SL's purchases, there were, if memory serves me correctly, around 520m shares in the hands other major Placees. Still would not be surprised if another 3 per center didn't pop up. | warbaby43
04/8/2015 08:09 | thanks haggismchaggis | blackgold00
04/8/2015 08:07 | Check their previous holdings notification. They have bought far more than it shows in today's notification. I make it 5,825,000 more since 30 June. | haggismchaggis
04/8/2015 07:52 | It don't have time to check but I can't recall when was the last time than one insti decided to buy such stake in AEX... TITM | traderinthemaking
04/8/2015 07:27 | so Majedie Asset Management Investment has been buying in the market then, yes? 5. Date of the transaction and date on which the threshold is crossed or reached: 30 July 2015 don't someone tell me they have been selling, please | blackgold00
