06/4/2015 13:09 | Karl Thomson Energy Ltd do not mention AEX producing Weem well drilled?? | dfgo
06/4/2015 08:34 | Yup, and what also adds to the sense of this apparent deal being odd and there being more to it than first seems is that it is expressed in HK dollars and not in the industry norm of dollars US. | warbaby43
05/4/2015 23:11 | Karl Thomson deal for HKD3m. We own 10%. That mean our cut is worth c.£25k? Pretty disappointing if true. | vike1
05/4/2015 12:46 | edgar @52049, the series of links kindly provided by foolsandcows should, I trust, demonstrate to your reasonable satisfaction that Hoifu have indeed disposed of their interest in WEEM-2. All very strange, not least that while they cite "continual unrest" in Egypt it was much worse a couple of years ago and does not appear to have worsened any since they started their drill. | warbaby43

05/4/2015 10:56 | "Aminex has an effective carried interest of 10% in these wells through its 12.5% shareholding in an associated company, Aminex Petroleum Egypt Ltd. ('APEL'). APEL holds 80% of the WEEM-2 PSC and other shareholders in APEL bear the Company's share of exploration through to first commercial discovery of oil and gas." Obviously not as profound for Aminex PLC as Tanzania but nevertheless interesting.. | foolsandcows

04/4/2015 21:09 | FoolsI am mobile and cant open that link. Assuming u arr saying it answers my query, is there any way u could post the contents or is it too big?If its the link already posted a few days back, it dosent answer my queryCheers | edgar222

04/4/2015 18:52 | Warbaby I may be behind the curve on this one but I am far from convinced that the Karl Thompson thing does actually relate to the recent aminex drilling and discovery Can you clarify. With thanks in advance | edgar222
04/4/2015 15:56 | Yup, LT, all very strange and not least the on-the-face-of-it absurdly low price. Perhaps, it might make more sense when we find out the identity of the purchaser. | warbaby43
03/4/2015 20:57 | Final Results are imminent.. | foolsandcows
03/4/2015 17:43 | Aminex has a 10% interest in the wells through its 12.5% stake in its associate Aminex Petroleum Egypt (APEL). APEL owns 80% stake in the WEEM-2 PSC and other shareholders in APEL will bear the company's share of exploration through to initial commercial discovery of oil and gas. Note: other shareholders in APEL First Energy Ltd?.. | foolsandcows
03/4/2015 17:19 | warbaby does make you wonder, given that the Egyptian problems are not a creation of the last few months, why they bothered to line up all that costly equipment and spend millions drilling when all they walk away with is a couple of hundred thousand smackeroos ......... unless the buyer is associated but that's just wishful thinking on my part. Something's not quite right about this - an Aminex RNS issued when drilling is "imminent" but no mention of its disposal when that fact is in the open arena. Once again Aminex comms lets the Company down .... still expect an interesting few weeks however! LT | last throw
03/4/2015 16:06 | Thanks for the translation link, fools. | warbaby43
03/4/2015 15:59 | jacks, I would assume not. Presumably, the purchaser will then have Hoifu's 90% and Aminex will still have the other 10%. The only question would then seem to be - would the incomer want to go to 100% but, even so, worth noting that Hoifu only got HK$3m for their 90% with a current exchange rate of US$1 = HK$7.75. The answer to the cash problem, therefore, doesn't appear to be an Egyptian one. | warbaby43
03/4/2015 15:34 | foolsetc @52037, thanks for the link to the Gasco report. However, it is bringing up the Kiswahili version and I am struggling to find the English translation which clearly exists - can you or anyone else help with directions please? | warbaby43 |
