30/3/2015 16:19 | From the September 2014 RNS "South Malak-2 is targeting the prolific Nubia and Matulla sandstones. The Company has also been informed that a second location has been chosen, designated as Wadi Kofra-1. This further well will target the same formations and drilling is expected to begin in late 2014. The WEEM 2 PSC is directly west of Lukoil's WEEM 1 PSC which is producing from the same formations being targeted by South Malak-2 and Wadi Kofra-1." We know SM2 is a discovery. Wonder where we are with WK1? Cannot find anything anywhere. Another discovery and a sale of Aminex Egypt to bring in some cash for Tanzania, would be my hope. | edgar222

29/3/2015 18:41 | TVC NEWS [DAR ES SALAAM] - Tanzania's energy regulator has approved a tariff for processing and transporting natural gas through the new pipeline from Mtwara to Dar es Salaam. The Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (Ewura) has set $2.14 as the interim fee for the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) for handling one million metric British thermal units of natural gas. The gas delivered to Dar es Salaam by TPDC will be used by power generation firms, industries, compressed natural gas vehicles, households and institutions. TPDC is finalising construction of two processing plants at Madimba in Mtwara and Songo Songo island in Lindi. A 36-inch gas pipeline from Mtwara through Somanga Fungu to Dar es Salaam will be commissioned soon. The Madimba plant has two trains (processing units) each with a capacity of 70 million standard cubic feet per day of gas while the Songo Songo one has two trains of 70 million standard cubic feet per day. Ewura director-general Felix Ngamlagosi said the authority has fixed the gas processing tariff at $0.95 and transportation tariff of $1.19 per million metric British thermal units to be levied by TPDC as interim fee with effect from April 1, for a period of 90 days. The new Mtwara-Dar es Salaam pipeline, covering 517km, will begin commercial operations in the second quarter of this year although it was initially planned to start working in January. | dfgo

28/3/2015 18:51 | yes thanks LT, and i too like the sound of the "imminent presentations about to happen" bit. thanks again | blackgold00
28/3/2015 15:24 | Many thanks LT for taking the trouble to relay the contents of that telecon in such detail. Tempting to view that "imminent presentations about to happen" bit as an indication that there could be summat positive on the near horizon. Meanwhile, among all AEX's vicissitudes, always comforting to recall another LT telecon and "a sweet spot the size of a major city or small country." | warbaby43
28/3/2015 11:31 | Hi all Lots of shenanigans this week so I put in a sharpish email to Aminex yesterday expressing my frustration at the lack of a clarifying response to the “November delay” story and had a very prompt telephone response from no less a person than Dominic Barreto, the head honcho of the Yellow Jersey outfit. He came across as a very erudite and articulate man with many years’ experience representing both AIM and listed companies both of which have different rules relating to what they can and cannot disseminate even against the background of what turn out to be false stories UNLESS, in the case of a listed company such a rumour swings the shareprice either way by more than 20% - not the case here for sure. He went on to say that Aminex play by the rules as if they didn’t the consequences are dire and, at the end of the day, reputations are at stake and he certainly was not prepared to cut corners and jeopardise their overall reputation in their respective fields. He told me that “nothing has changed” and Aminex are still “on course” as per previously detailed timelines and Yellow Jersey “understood frustrations” but had to abide by very detailed rules that are freely available for interested parties to inspect and understand just how regulated listed companies are as regards newsflow. He talked about the paradox of his company being in the business of promotion but having to be very careful of how they promote and just how easy it is to overstep the regulatory line in that regard with the almost inevitable consequence of being struck off and losing both his business and reputation built up in the industry over very many years. He also indicated that there were imminent presentations about to happen which presumably will gather their own publicity and reporting. In summary: it was good to hear from Dominic who comes across as a very professional promotions man who allayed some of my fears about what’s been happening over the last few weeks/months but I guess the main unanswered question is “when’s the fat lady coming on stage?”.
