Davwal ...think you have hit the nail on the head and that is the catalyst imo also a driving factor for the sale sign going up and now JW and GC will want to maximise return. Get the best offer whether as a whole or broken up. This will go to 35p as I see it and lets be honest the frirst price is never the best offer they have in mind.

This is not a distressed sale I would imagine OXY and ONGC will be interested in potential partners and GTE should have more than a passing interest - no one mentioned M&P before there may be others?

What I like about this offer is that it hasn't come from ONGC, OXY or GTE. Its an outside interest, which increases the potential for a bidding war, particularly when the 3 names above know all too well what #AMER assets are really worth.
