It looks that way.

But why we never seem to get voting figures is almost carte blanche for whatever result some want

So did anyone from Minchinoku turn up or was it all a bit of a ruse. Personally I still believe GC controls Minchinoku, but what do I know.

We could have had the results last week. All motions carried. Thank you. Goodnight.

Online votes closed last week. So Link knew those totals and just have to add to them the votes on Poll Cards at the meeting today.

Poll Cards were issued today after checking the clerk's laptops and scrutiny of photo ID etc to those of the 40+ people there who qualified to vote.
Each card showed the number of shares/votes.

Not everyone handed in cards.
So why are we still waiting for the results RNS over 5 hours later?

What they don't seem to get is that one of the responsibilities of the board is to ensure that, as far as is practicable, the share price fairly reflects the future prospects of the Company in order to minimise the risk of shareholders buying or selling shares at what is obviously the "wrong" price. JW in effect admitted that this risk is manifest as the value he would put on the business in the event of a hostile bid is far higher than the current market cap. The problem is that JW's excellent knowledge of the oil business and the Company's prospects isn't in any way shape or form reflected in the share price or mirrored on the Board. Giles Clark suggested there was no problem as he has been chairman for 12 years the implication being that he does have a sufficient depth of knowledge of the business successfully to persuade institutions of the value proposition. However, that is demonstrably not the case as witnessed by the share price. In a 'normal' company where the CEO is based in the UK this is less of a problem as the CEO is available to spend more time on institutional PR as he is the lead executive who all institutions want to meet. Not so easy here with JW operating in country. Time for the Board to get a proper grip!

Hay demasiados whining, moaning minnies on this board. OK, deadlines have been missed, boogaloo, but the groundwork has now been prepared.

This is frontier work in Colombian back country. They’re not water divining across the green @ Gerrards Cross, FFS!

Grow some cojones people ;)

Jam tomorrow? More like Giles Clarke's own brand marmalade today: weak, thin and bitter, lacking in substance, promises little and fails to deliver even that.

Glad I did not go either. Always been a waste of time. It always has been a jam tomorrow company. Hopefully one day we will be taken over and the real potential here achieved. It wont be achieved with Giles Clarke at the helm.

About the only thing I can report from having wasted my morning is that GC is in complete denial that he is the problem despite the floor being cleary very anti him, which he doesn't appear to give a hoot about, and the whole board bar JW.
Otherwise it was the same old message of jam tomorrow once the City better understands the deals they have done........
I return to purdah
