Quite bemused by the efforts of the parasite lawyers....if a local tribe has a claim against AMER, it's irrelevant who owns it.

I agree, ML. I imagine one will be able to drive a coach and horses through the spread in the morning.

It would be quite nice if GeoPark got their Note offering away. Prontissimo.

Given that issue and the tribal thing, one assumes that the proverbial Fat Lady may not yet be anywhere near the opera house....

Hello, Giles, John and Nick......

Hello Westy - HNY to you.

I did hold Amer at some stage - but got bored and moved on. Don't know who Clarke is.

A Colombian tribe is mounting a last-ditch attempt to thwart a £240m takeover of Amerisur Resources, a London-listed energy company which has agreed to be bought by a larger rival.

Sky News has learnt that the law firm Leigh Day has lodged an attempt to secure an injunction that would prevent Amerisur being sold in the coming days to GeoPark, a Latin American oil and gas explorer...

What’s the chances of the scheme not being sanctioned by the courts?

Luckily I have found a home to the proceeds as today I hear of a transformational acquisition, something I vaguely recall hearing elsewhere, but memory fails.

So its all into The Barkby. Haven't had time to check on who runs it, or major holders (tic0

"This is a transformational acquisition"

There are buys going through at 19.16 or thereabouts. Assuming they are buys, why would anyone buy small amounts of this stock just to get a guaranteed 19.21 later.

Sad to see some of the comments, but what an indictment to any Board of Directors to have such comments aimed at them. It would be difficult for any Board receiving similar comments to ever float another company or raise money to do so.

Have to wonder what these 'regulators' actually regulate! It might appear to most people that the only regulation taking place is to regulate shareholders rather than regulate the operation of the companies owned by shareholders.

No wonder London has seen such a drop in new issues.

The FSA now the FCA do very little to regulate, and the London Stock Exchange even less.

I know of a shareholder here that contacted these people when RH was selling, predicting precisely what has happened, and I took no notice of him. But he was on the money, which is more than I can say for me!
