19/9/2019 09:45 | one would expect the buyer keeping the share price down. but there are more than one - so - why would only one buyer do a job for every one? seller would be interested in as high share price as possible. I can not understand the motive of the doer if they are sound! If not sound - keep the share low so I can sell for peanuts by seller or buyers banding together to keep the share price down which I doubt. I just can not make a sound reason about it sinister I can help | ![]() kaos3

18/9/2019 22:41 | Some of the deals done have been first class. One more first class deal please GC and JW. | ![]() acv74
18/9/2019 22:40 | The process is a little slower than I had hoped (quelle surprise, this is AMER), but I suspect we will have some kind of recommended deal before Xmas.Negotiating the final sale is what GC is here to do, he's done it before, has a good track record.A lot of people on here are negative but much of our value/assets has been created out of very little during the oil price downturn. | ![]() acv74

18/9/2019 18:50 | Not sure I agree. Once due diligence is over, we will become a hostile target if no deal is done. | ![]() lucyp00p
18/9/2019 17:47 | I believe the wheels will turn a bit quicker here, so added a few more today. I think the BoD are under pressure from major shareholders to get a deal done, although I don’t expect a blockbuster outcome. | ![]() davwal
18/9/2019 17:05 | There is no takeover just a chancer bid that was rejected followed by a business review with the opportunity being left open for potential acquirers to sign an NDA and take a close look at the business and decide if they want to make a sensible bid. At the end of the open books process, the board is expected to come back to shareholders with recommendations concerning any offers and proposals for increasing value if they decide that the offers don't truly reflect the inherent value. That takes as long as it takes, two years plus last time I was involved with one. Q | ![]() quidnunc
18/9/2019 11:38 | 11% That is my understanding. It takes as long as it takes. There may be a full sale, a partial sale or no sale. Depends on the offers. | ![]() roth
18/9/2019 10:32 | Hi guys, I after some info. As I understand it, we are not operating to the Takeover Panels Rules......AMER has been exempted from them for some reason. Is it fair to say we are not operating to any time line/rule/plan/etc. There is no time restraint on AMER making a decision on any takeover. Cheers. | ![]() 11_percent

17/9/2019 11:07 | Not sure if an share price of £100 will ever be realistic, bwtfdik?? | ![]() lucyp00p
17/9/2019 11:03 | Perhaps the market thinks that whatever the offer price the Board will recommend rejection because the huge salaries they command satisfies them for the moment: meanwhile the Company can add value over the next couple of years until an share price of £100 becomes realistic. | somnus101
17/9/2019 10:04 | Would you not think if the market thought that our take out price was in the high 20ps our current share price would be drifting up this could end up as another jam tomorrow although I'm hoping that I am way out and we end up at 30p. | ![]() bryet
17/9/2019 09:42 | Rather than open a discussion just a link for those who may be interested as it has direct influence on all oil companies. If you are not interested then no problem. | ![]() tyler durden1
17/9/2019 09:28 | I see no reason why anyone cannot mention shale, although I do not believe its useful for shale per se to be discussed as the topic? As it happens I have a similar downbeat view of shale to Tyler as I'm sure many other posters do, but for me its only about its implications to Amerisur. Rather than 'blathering on' it only increases the long term potential and value of Amerisur which judging by the claimed suitors might show itself before too long. Some high class suitors if correct looks very very encouraging whether there is a deal or not. | ![]() foiledagain
17/9/2019 09:16 | I see you are still blathering on about shale - thought this discussion forum had reached a consensus not too mention it here! You seem to have broken that consensus yet again TDI! | ![]() xxnjr
17/9/2019 08:55 | Interesting about the bidders lining up, but as interesting is the geopolitical games being played to downplay the oil shortages. The SPR was designed from the outset to be bidirectional. Ponzi shale was never going to be a commercial success, with companies like Exxon already having pumped billions into shale, and still coming up with they will break even next year....a statement that repeats itself each year. The SPR is believed to have bolstered shale production allowing production figures that bore no resemblance to fact, so the Saudi situation is now a very convenient and helpful way to explain the black hole of oil that should be in the SPR. Its also a useful way of hiking oil price, allowing shale to last a little longer, with no doubt ZIRP and NIRP being brought back to try to funnel even more money into the ever hungry mouth of shale. However, it will make conventional oil producers even more profitable if the oil price stays at a high level ($80), and $80 may just provide shale with a platform to continue a little longer, as so many have already gone bankrupt this year, with billions and billions of debt and leaving stockholders and creditors with zero. In the meantime the sweet spots have already been used up, and as companies are finding reducing well spacing, which has been forced upon them by trying to increase the number of drills from the same pad, has resulted in not only new wells producing less, but causing the existing wells to lose production too. Few investors will pump money into shale, so the ZIRP and NIRP policies designed to force investors into higher risk (no hope) shale doesn't look to carry on this time as the writing is on the wall for shale, even if oil goes to $80 and stays there, it will not alter the physics of shale, nor the effect of Red Queen Syndrome. All bodes well for Amerisur, and very interesting to see the number and quality of the suitors suggested to be in a bidding war for Amerisur. | ![]() tyler durden1

16/9/2019 21:28 | I think interest from the companies mentioned makes sense. Particularly when you consider depleting reserves from existing facilities and lack of investment in large scale projects. Low cost operations should offer a safety margin in the event of a downturn. This is not intended as a buy or sell tip, just curious to see if anyone has come across any similar articles elsewhere | ![]() tyler19 |
