Talk of takeover etc is hugely misplaced.I suspect in hindsight the rest of this year will have proved transformational.

Just pondering if the board has received any approach at a tiny (or zero) premium. They wouldn't necessarily have to notify the market, especially if the approach was informal - "issuers must notify without delay major new developments that may affect their business if the development may lead to a substantial share price movement. Issuers must also notify without delay information concerning a change in financial condition, performance or expectation of performance if the change would be likely to lead to a substantial share price movement."

I think O2 is really intended for some of the eastern blocks - but they have yet to prove oil there, let alone produce.

The OBA output reached 4,017 bbl on 4th May and kept practically the same level for the next 10 days up to 14th May. Since third party oil started being received by AMER on 10th May, should we see some increase in OBA output now?

Can anyone please explain the procedure and timeline from receiving third party oil to sending it through the OBA? Thanks in advance.

I did moan previous to the Agm that Oleoducti #2 had been previously mooted and then dropped. To be fair to JW, he did mention it again as still on the cards. Although from his tone, not imminent Further he seemed quite pleased that the trucking station for moving third party oil was in place and up and running As someone else pointed out, it's a different part of the business and a nice alternative profit centreAll of which might go towards moving #2 up the agenda a little. Just a follow up thoughtQ

there is a huge value in amer !!!

so many old oil hands in this stock with an "experienced feel" for the oil stocks beyond reason makes me sure about it (geological potential, JW feel for it ... )

like in a brilliant sports car. but driving it at 30mph in order to be cautious? makes sense to some. the others like super cars and use them for what they are build for - super fast driving

lets get the second rig for CPO 5and drill some sweet spots. there is financial resource, targets are set .....

I never got an info why they do not get the second rig after them self did consider one more

Vowed I'd not buy more, but broke the vow with another 100,000
I think this year is it one way or another

Giles reiterates he knows the value and whatever you may doubt that comes via him, on this I believe him 100%.

JW spent cash and the share price is much lower than he paid so its still my view that a seller/player is dragging or keeping the share price low and that will be resolved sooner rather than later.

BWD - thank you!

It sure has been a long time coming but still have a v good feeling about the asset base and acreage that’s locked and loaded.

Agree with earlier comments on Sol, from 3D seems a more conventional closure - likewise Aguila. If Sol comes in I would think Aguila more an appraisal. Calao had nothing like the same clarity. Given the prolific LS3 a 40% cos for Sol seems in the ballpark but we’re updip from Indico! It may well be the ‘Une’ sweet spot in CPO5’s NW corner. A little over 3 weeks and we’ll know.

Plat infill drill results next week
Put-8 Bienparado and
Put-9 Coendu - drill intentions next ops update?

Agree with xxnjr there BWD. Much appreciated. Does seem like AMER are a good prospect for those with patience FROM HERE on out. I can certainly sympathize with those long term holders who have suffered so far though. It will either improve or it will not. Now seems to be a good time to enter even if the BOD are not the most "forthcoming". I have bought at prices between 12p and 21p here so am down so far. I intend to see how things play out and hope sentiment changes in due course as drilling success is announced and the barrel numbers increase. GLA!

Belated post from the AGM.
No great revelations from the meeting but the background provided by John Wardle was invaluable. A lot more of you should make the effort to attend; you might actually learn something.
JW made a heroic effort to get through his presentation despite the constant questions and comments from the floor. Many of the points were intelligent, well-made and worthwhile; others were pointless, repetitive and sucked away at the limited time available.
JW listened to everything that was said with good grace and patience even though a lot of the noise, in my opinion, should have been directed at other board members and/or left for after his presentation. In any event, I think they all got the message about the share price etc.
Random observations in no particular order:
One shareholder asked why institutions were selling. GC said they were not and, in fact, some had increased their positions. He and Alex Snow were continuing to work hard with the City contacts, he said. Re: the Sunday Times article JW said Michinoko "have never communicated anything to me. They believe in the company. They have not sold a single share."
Re Calao, JW said the share price reaction was "ridiculous." He explained why this was drilled instead of another location with a greater COS. The coming CPO-5 wells hve much better odds.
Oil from CPO-5 is much more profitable than from Platanillo.
Platanillo still has plenty to offer - approx 70m barrels.
Third party exports have started with a four-bay tanker facility up and running. The delay in getting this started was because of protracted negotiations over a small tax payable to the local council. But the deal is a good earner and has broken a national export monopoly.
The production guideline for this year does not include what may come from exploration wells, so with new, successful wells this will obviously increase.
JW emphasised the importance of the OXY deal and their in-depth knowledge of the region.
He got a round of applause at the end of the meeting.

On a personal note, the highlight was meeting up with tony, Q and Lucy for beer and curry the night before. We had a good chat. It was fun although Brian's presence was missed.
It was also good to meet up with other shareholders in the pub by the river afterwards.
I think AMER is easily worth double the current share price

didn't ask about CoS, but I suspect Sol-1 is around 30%. We know the source works, but not whether sol is on the migration path, we know the sand is good (but at Calao it was deeper than thought, so missed migration), we know traps exist, but not proven at Sol.

Anyone know how long until TD? And do you think the TD results could lead to a rerating of the share price as before any oil was being pumped we were 20.5p and now 12.9p. My logic says thatif we discover a new oil source we should be near the 30p mark and with more digs to come. This is undervalued at the moment anyway.

Tyler - who gives a monkey’s nuts!?
The drill bit is turning and that’s all that matters. So long as operational momentum continues the results will come and the share price will respond. Why? Because there is proven high quality source rock and and excellent trapping right across their acreage.

How fickle we PIs are; had Calao struck an adjacent column to Indico the BoD would be freakin heroes! Jezzz

You can still wreak havoc with several million shares especially when he was founder and served as City Securities. He is still shown as a key executive. Interesting case shows how seriously he takes things.
