Operational Update - 8th June
"Miraparriba-1 is expected to spud in Q3 2018 as previously guided"


No mention of dates inbetween those two. They're trying to pull a fast one!

No matter, I think I'll be in for more today on the drop.

another lost year. half year almost gone and the facts are presented. no drilling, no wax cleaning build up, decreasing production ....

not taking advantage of the increased POO.

I ask my self - was the reduction of the production when prices fell just a propaganda?

Probably range trading. Just by starting to drill - why should price increase. Only when the results are in.

Taking total-oba, Mariposa-1 peaked at 1325 bopd in Feb, and has declined each month to 673 now.

"The continuing cycle of well work is frustrating, however I believe that our understanding developed over the 11 years of production experience in Platanillo will give us success in this process, which is to be expected given the growing age of the well stock and the volumes produced to 31 May - over 10,041,419 barrels of oil."

Hard to avoid the conclusion that plat is indeed in decline. They need to get drilling and fast.

Pierre Jungels ex of RKH is quoted as saying that small discoveries get smaller and large ones get bigger [with exploration] - much truth in that, me thinks.

Problems at Platanillo sends production down to 4800bopd and that's before Mariposa-1 is suspended... I thought April's workovers were supposed to reap rewards in May?!

Worrying that they haven't been able to get close to maintaining 2017 exit rates (7kbopd) in any month this year let alone build towards 12kbopd target. Also can't even manage min 5kbopd through OBA. If Platanillo is in serious decline what purpose will OBA even serve? White elephants springs to mind!

Rapidly losing interest in AMER, no more top-ups for me until they dramatically improve performance.

OBA Export

-- Average daily throughput was 4,134 BO during the Period.
-- Peak daily throughput was 5,024 BO during the Period.

This company would be sold heavily based on current production and the boards removed based on current production except for news on the 3 drills due in the next 2-3 months!!

The "normal" rainy season is from the middle of April thru the middle of June and from the middle of October thru the middle of December. However, this year, because of the incidence of La Niña, it has rained all year to date.

Yep I expect they can work round the rainy season as it goes on from May to Nov if I remember correctly so they wouldn't of scheduled works and drilling unless they thought possible
