01/3/2018 10:02 | On the rumour mill scale of possibility the little bit of BB wishful thinking re a takeover constituted about 2 out of 10. In my view it was the sudden appearance of a large-scale buyer that triggered the general flurry of PI buying. Unfortunately that hasn’t carried through and the remaining constant is RH selling. | davwal
01/3/2018 09:58 | I'm still in. Volume on the break was very high for amer and not much since.Looks (to me)like the stocks having a pause at the 18dma. Once through that I'd expect the rise to continue. Hoping sideways with support c.16.2 til then. | bad gateway
01/3/2018 09:53 | As I said previously I believe it was just speculative buying based on takeover rumours. Now that those rumours appear to be just that rumours we are now back to the more normal days trading. Until we can ramp up production significantly I cant see any takeover currently happening. In a few years time I believe a takeout will happen. | underhill2
01/3/2018 09:45 | kaos3 - exactly. I'm beginning to wonder if there was a wee bit of a 'pump et dump'. Looking at the weekly chart over the last 5 years every single amer low pinged the lower band before the rallying shortly after. This would be the first time for that process not to occur. One scenario i'd be looking at now would be for a more determined effort to break below 16p and possibly even 15p with a view to triggering quite a few stops set after the very big volume day a couple of sessions ago. | boris cobaka
01/3/2018 09:13 | the other thing that bothers me is that suddenly some posters went silen | kaos3
01/3/2018 09:10 | my flaw is to connect unhappy faces to the "OBA photo" meeting. maybe some other news made unhappy faces. like an ongoing TA activity. which Would kick some unproductive asses as a consequence. who knows? I do not | kaos3
01/3/2018 08:36 | I doubt they would have made the photograph public if the outcome of their meeting had not been mutually beneficial. | chopper harris1
01/3/2018 08:12 | commenting the photo - the small gentleman is a happy winner, the left person is angry/worried so he must have lost something which he is not used to (selfish kond of personality), man to the right is a good human, closed, defensive posture, smiling as per usual. not very good outcome (if I look at the photo) for the ex-center men I bought a lot last several days but looking at the photo I have second thoughts atm I feel it Will be another long term investment I fear and I hope to be wrong. Someone was buying as crazy the other day (and selling ) | kaos3

28/2/2018 16:40 | The normal mark down by the Market Makers at the end of todays trading session. More of a normal days trading today. Looks like yesterdays large trading volume was just the speculators buying on takeover rumour. Probably no truth in the rumours. Nevertheless I added yesterday as I think there is lots of good news to come over the next few months | underhill2

28/2/2018 14:07 | Just scared PI's selling is all at the moment, the big seller has stopped as per normal at this share price level. News due soon and will without doubt be back in the 20s soon enough....mark my words. Good look all shareholders, buy and hold is my advice....its what I'm doing anyway :)) | laptop15
28/2/2018 13:56 | The seller is holding the share price back no chance to advance until we get rid of him hope we don't have another 6 months of this. | bryet
28/2/2018 12:43 | Vermillion. According to two contacts (who didn't know each other) it was one of the sons that was instrumental in quelling the BoD's feeding frenzy of OBA options. It may have been independent of The Investors Forum. The Investors Forum reported on their involvement in GC's climb down and promises of better Corporate Governance on page 16 of their Review 2017. It says :- AMERISUR RESOURCES. Participants believed that the investment thesis for the company was strong, but that governance practice and oversight by the Board were impacting the company’s effectiveness. We engaged with the Chairman to raise the concerns of investors, which focused on issues that they felt should be addressed to better equip the organisation for its anticipated growth. The company responded promptly and constructively to the engagement, announcing changes relating to remuneration policy, increasing shareholder communication through more regular RNS updates and launching an independent process to identify and recruit two new independent Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) with financial and exploration experience. Members were encouraged by the approach taken in early 2017. While some felt at the time there was still more work to be done, the collective engagement closed in May, just prior to the AGM. One year on from the initiation, the company has indicated that there has not been any additional investor feedback on these issues. Further, and interestingly, the Investors Forum was acting for 5 of their 35 Institutional Investors Participants (all listed on page 35), holding about 20% of AMER's shares. Add RH's holdings in early 2017 and it appears to have been a significant force that GC had to humble himself to. We are not alone! | tonyrelaxes
