I see no reason for another placing. If they need a bit of cash, they have plenty in the bank plus a previously agreed lending facility to the tune of $175m.

Yes, I think a placing is unlikely, unless something very expensive to buy. The company has decent amount of cash so it would be hard to justify a cash raise through placing..

I can't see a placing other than to make a significant acquisition.

Fsa. Another placing would reduce the share price even further. Rather than buy another producers oil, wouldn't it be far better to collect revenue just tariffing it.

More than tradition. I think you will find it is a legal obligation.

If a placing was in the offing, I suspect that efforts would be made to ramp up the share price

Val is it not tradition that ANH be informed by the 31st Dec of production figures etc which are then used to calculate reserves by independent body and published by 31st March??

Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, rose 4.27% to $56.67 a barrel on London's ICE Futures exchange. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate futures were trading up 4.80% at $53.95 a barrel.

I would point out that this is last full week on Stock Exchange until week beginning 9th Jan. (Also has a Friday 13th in it).
So if Amerisur will tell us anything before Xmas it could well be imminent.

I bought some back Fri after being knocked out at 27p, logic says up but sods law won't have it. Same with SDX, solid blue for over a week but still won't do the decent thing. Patience.

Light follows the darkest hour kerri - don't succumb just before payback.

You are however personifying why Amer isn't 40p+ - boredom, heard it before, better opps elsewhere - all the fundamentals point to 40p+ but the human element - the buying of the shares - hasn't engaged just yet !

I remain convinced that the 5p (that's up 5p in a day not an share price target! ) is upon us as markets, when they do wake up, will find little stock available and will rerate us in a hurry.

Amer should roughly follow the oil price, should be around the 55p mark. Just a Christmas Wish!

Probably push it down to 24. Perhaps an RNS saying that Amer has some oil reserves and they are going up in value might help.
