06/12/2016 15:40 | Bitmap14Going bust are you for real? People just being impatient here. Rome wasn't built in a day, having worked in seismic I know these things take time. It's only a couple of weeks since pipeline news. Keep it real is what I say. Imho | juuunx2
06/12/2016 15:10 | I am a longterm AMER shareholder, first time poster. I always liked this business ( cash, business area) and have stayed loyal thinking long-term. For the first time I also feel something is not right and I am getting very nervous. I cannot put my finger on why. Can anyone make a case for this going bust or raise any other potential scenario that would impact of us shaeholders? | bitmap14
06/12/2016 14:35 | Pipeline up and running with a share price of 26.5p something isn't right. Clarification is needed. The lack of news from AMER is dreadful. | dayway123

05/12/2016 18:19 | Gary Guidry gonna buy amer jus watch this one go | fsawatcher
05/12/2016 16:48 | I doubt AMER are going to blow past anything :) A rise to early-mid 30s would be nice but until they crank up production volumes, let alone that sent through the pipeline there won't be fireworks unless some M&A action happened. (All IMHO) | rollthedice
05/12/2016 15:24 | Is there something wrong here? My other oil stocks have shot up in recent weeks come on amer | big7ime

05/12/2016 13:44 | Well let's face it Val, The best chance for peace in the region lies with the current government's initiative. The indigenes got short shrift from the drug cartels, Farc and the various other armed groups and their chances of getting anything other than bullets from them remains close to zilch. Whereas, the potential onset of peace and the economic support that Oil might bring present the best chance for the development of a viable rural economy and some sort of support and accommodation for those locals who live in the area. The article you refer to is a bit of a rag bag of accusations but it is noticeable that its prime focus seems to be directed towards those who might be inclined to listen and compensate and Farc gets barely a passing mention with the implication that they wouldn't have come and laid landmines and attacked trucks at all if only the government and Amer had kept away! One asks qui bono? to such polemics and the question arises as to who had input into them. Farc's virtual exoneration points the finger at them and the drug cartels. I'm not saying that bad things weren't done by all parties but its a long leap from those events to laying blame at Amer's door or even GC's. Amer could probably do more/spend more on local infrastructures and projects but there would be pressures from shareholders regarding profits and of course, accusations that Amer was buying silence. Whatever they do, they have to negotiate a tortured path within the current deeply flawed and fractured political structures. Q. | quidnunc
05/12/2016 13:24 | On 27 Oct, the company said that 1,500 bopd flowing down the pipeline and that this volume would rise significantly in the weeks ahead. It is now some 5 weeks ahead - time for an update. | blackdown2
05/12/2016 13:16 | I certainly hope so Q. I agree with your sentiments. Someone will pay for the price of progress and someone will benefit.. who? | valentine
05/12/2016 12:44 | Lucy, I don't think the Italians voted to exit EU as such. They voted to preserve their Byzantine democratic process and against an attempt to hobble their upper house. What the knock-on effects of that are is anyone's guess and just about everyone is guessing to suit their own agenda. As for Amer, I met some of the people responsible for their Health & Safety and Environmental protections at the last AGM and the previous and they knew their stuff, it was no 2D attempt to pull wool over eyes, ~I know enough to spot it. So I'm not persuaded that the BOD is embroiled in any sub-rosa stuff. On the contrary, the sheer length of the immanence convinces me that they move forwards in an above board manner, regardless of delays to their timetable.....which is why we wait and wait and wait for news. As for the Columbian government and the indigenous peoples, I only know what I can glean from the back story to this share over the years. Negotiations locally seem to involve the adoption of extreme positions in the first instance from whence a more moderate solution or position emerges and all leave the table with something. That seems to be what happened with the Huasca trees and well story previous to this. Whatever is going on, it ain't directly comparable to Standing Rock IMO. Q. | quidnunc
05/12/2016 12:30 | The ziobains argument if you can be bothered to translate. The Dakota Sioux have done a Custer at little big horn again. Amer need to tread carefully here. 05/12/2016 12:10 | Thanks. A trio back to the sceptr'd isle set in its silver sea? No ta vey much. I have no problem with anyone here. My diversions are irrelevant. I want answers. Amer is one of the only shares that has really made me money. Unless they give good answers I may well loom elsewhere. How do you Compensate a people who have little or no interest in material wealth and have lived in peace and quiet for Centuries l. Their time is up tbh and no one including the Colombian govt gives much of a sh*t.. all best. A quick check on bucket shop tickets back to brexit land? Err? Better ways of squandering meagre means. | valentine

05/12/2016 11:05 | Do Amerisur have gunships? I've seen a chopper in a presentation but no gunships. GC and his cronies don't make money from underwater options so I don't buy the selfish sentiment either. Basically if the Colombians need oil revenue to sustain the economy, no amount of hand wringing by Rex or the indigenous activists will stop them getting it. Sure there is an obligation to assist and not go all Full Metal Jacket on them but tipping a bucket of oil into a river and blaming Amerisur for polluting the water is a stunt. | lucyp00p |
