EDITED @ 20:54 GMT ON 15-12-09 (LOL!):

'He was a director of a charity set up to help defrauded investors which failed.'

Yes, interestingly, this was, apparently, an outfit by which a poster on TMF known as 'Anomalous' intended to become gainfully employed. The post in which this was revealed disappeared not long after it was made.

Thank the Lord for the legal maxim of 'Quantum Meruit', without which those not contractually entitled to be paid would be unable to claim payment for work done. One would not wish to see anyone working 'pro bono publico' on such important matters, let alone 'gratis'. (Not that the distinction is entirely relevant to those who are not competent, qualified, or accountable to those in whose interests they purport to act).

Keep going Ratty, I believe you are performing a valuable public service to someone in need of treatment which is not generally prescribed on the NHS until he or she has come to terms with their predicament.

And LGB - another example of directors who took over a company which was defrauded and have been reasonably successful in their recovery. And it seems they subsequently headed off another money grab.

In December 2006 certain shareholders who opted out of the Scheme of Arrangement commenced proceedings against the Company in which they sought losses arising on the purchase of shares. On 3 July 2009, the Company reached a commercial compromise with these opt-out shareholders and the settlement figure paid by the Company represented a significant reduction on the amounts being claimed. The board is obviously pleased with the resolution of these proceedings.

And who is this serial entrepeneur who backs action groups? The bona fide genius
who would rescue LGB shareholders......

Anom......who is he/she?

Anomalous - 5 Dec'05 - 02:11 - 35134 of 59023

It wouldn't be politic for me to mention his name on the BB. ADVFN does have rules about this after all. Suffice to say that he posts on ADVFN (infrequently) under the Logon ID Cougar6.

He likes to be known as a West Country Entreprenuer and lives next door to Pete Townsend. He's incredibly smart and a very astute business man. He once negotiated a deal and when the sellers counter-offered with a higher price, he dropped his price and WON! He is a bona fide genius and if the worst happened (which is starting to look less likely now), then none of the shareholders would come out of it with nothing.

Allnutt and Wigglesworth to step down at the meeting.

They were directors when all this was going on. And let us not forget Allnutt's role in this failure.

Just think - a couple of years back Anomalous was proposing that Allnutt joins the LGB board of directors.

And a reminder for London Asia Capital Shareholders.........meeting this Friday.

And the disgraceful goings on in the past set out for everyone to see. Comparable to the fraud at Langbar in my opinion.

And those who have not signed the petition to rid this country of this pathetic law here is link.

Time for a crackdown on the parasites who seek to deny free speech for their own financial gain.

Thanks guys.

Still a while before I start. Rwanda is actually a very beautiful country and believe it or not, the people are mainly good.

I will be based in Kigali but will be travelling around quite alot to Kenya and Tanzania also.

So far in my life, I have not actually travelled the world very much because I have always thought there were so many nice places close by. I have spent some time in the former Yugoslavia and my views on that are pretty forthright. However, despite my views on Rwanda I will have to be on my best behaviour.

I am sure that the Smith V ADVFN actions will be curtailed soon. The thing is, when someone sits down and really thinks about the goings on and perhaps reflects on the trouble in this country and the world, will they really think that a pathetic spat and vendetta from a bulletin board is worthy of being considered in the High Court? I doubt that somehow and if the cases go to trial there is more than enough to defeat the claimant.

As for COMG - that will be pursued to the bitter end. I don't like dishonesty and even less so hypocracy. Those who deceive investors and act with arrogance
and then join charities set up to tackle the very same behaviour will also be made accountable.

You can count on that.

Well folks, some may be pleased to hear that I have today received an offer of a job based in Kigali. The job I always wanted. Late summer of next year so will there be time to wrap this one up?

An appeal for information please.

I need to know something more of a company called 'City Equities'.

Their name keeps coming up time and time again. Let's have your stories and experiences.

Slightly off topic - I know there are alot of readers here.

An online petition to reform the libel law.

If you value freedom of speech and fairness - sign it and send the template letter to your MP. It is quite an interesting website too.

Now, question time....

Where's the money?

Who are the loan note holders?

How is BEC trading these days?

Why is there a proposal to strike off?

Did Littlewood get his snout in the trough here too?

What plans have you got to restore value for shareholders?

Why is Nigel Smith the registrant of your website?

And who is John Cooper?

Answers please.....

And while we are waiting some entertainment for you. Found this post on a mining company thread...

Incidentally the company is dodgy as well as apparently plain daft.

Bartyboy - 9 Nov'09 - 14:43 - 1305 of 1319

Anyone seen the latest statement from Green Machine Corps.

Here are a few gems! Sounds exciting until you realise he's quoting the spokesman for another unrelated company prospecting different leases!!

"We've found that there's over 70 million ounces of gold. The amount of
gold produced in Victoria over the last 150 years is about 80 million
ounces, and that's found in rock sort of poking out of the ground."

"In today's pricing, gold is around about (Aud)$1,150 an ounce, so times that by 70 million and I think it would be up around sort of $80 billion or so."

And finally

New London telephone number
The Company has a new London telephone number. Whilst the preferred method of
communication is email we are mindful that some shareholders do not have access
to the internet. Local call charges only apply. Please be aware that this number is redirected to Australia and therefore there is a considerable time difference depending on where you are calling from. The new number is: +44 20 7193 1969

Mack - I love the judge.

You know what - I have all the comics but never watched the film. It's funny - I never thought the film would live up to my expectations and from I have heard I was right.

Instant justice would certainly have reigned in the offenders here.

I guess we will just have to do it by the good old British Justice System. That makes it more of a challenge.
