25/11/2009 21:15 | And time for Holmes and Allnutt to update the Commodity Growth PLC website which is registered to Anomalous. We are all waiting. | loverat
25/11/2009 20:48 | Anomalous obviously must have taken quite a different view from his business colleague and friend Mr Allnutt. A year after Allnutt was 'dissatisfied' with the rubbish he was being fed, Anomolous took quite a different view. Must say, that line from Wigglesworth and Allnutt about becoming concerned in 2006 looks a load of old bull to me. | loverat
25/11/2009 20:35 | Oh yes - and 9 months after becoming 'dissatisfied' the now famous post by Allnutt. Advising another poster that it was him who was blind... cougar6 - 19 Jul'07 - 15:49 - 7972 of 8797 sorry to see your blind slapdash | loverat
25/11/2009 20:26 | Well, 18 months after becoming dissatisfied this is what Allnutt was advising investors...... tenniselbow - 2 Apr'08 - 08:23 - 8630 of 8914 time to buy I think | loverat
25/11/2009 20:18 | Now - this is part of the statement from Wigglesworth........ From late 2006 George Allnutt and I found ourselves increasingly dissatisfied with the information with which we were being provided on the activities of the subsidiaries and performance of the investments of London Asia Capital Plc. It was with great reluctance that we found ourselves obliged to ask for the shares in your company to be suspended in June of last year. So for a period of 18 months what did you do if you were dissatified with Littlewood before taking any action? | loverat
25/11/2009 20:13 | Wigglesworth and Allnutt resigning. Neither George Allnutt nor I plan to remain on your Board after the AGM and at the meeting I shall hand over the Chair to the Earl of Cromer under whose leadership I believe London Asia Capital Plc will take on a new lease of life. Jack Wigglesworth Chairman 19 November 2009 | loverat
25/11/2009 20:07 | Yes - the accounts for 2007 but some interesting stuff if you read the statements from the management. | loverat
25/11/2009 19:38 | Oh - I see the London Asia Capital General Meeting is on their website. Let me take a read. | loverat
25/11/2009 05:05 | Yes - don't pinch Mack's lines. If you want to show your shock or surprise at events may I suggest something along these lines? Classic stuff. | loverat
24/11/2009 21:12 | thats my line . | mack7heknife
24/11/2009 19:53 | Good grief. | jonc
24/11/2009 18:28 | Thanks Mack You are quite right and I am sure that despite the confidentiality agreements, secrecy and distrust between the groups, the truth will come out. | loverat
24/11/2009 17:42 | all may not be as it seems loverat . | mack7heknife
24/11/2009 17:15 | Well, a favourable result for LDC shareholders today I think. Reading the LGB thread tonight. A great shame. Those who had their snouts in the trough win yet again. Or so it seems. | loverat
23/11/2009 21:35 | Anyway - I'll bid you all goodnight. Busy day tomorrow. | loverat
23/11/2009 21:25 | 'Straw has been impressed by a report from Index on Censorship, the free-speech body, and English PEN, a charity that supports persecuted writers. The groups jointly conducted a year-long inquiry into the issue. Their report warns that current laws risk turning the country into a "global pariah"; its recommendations include capping libel damages at £10,000 and making an apology the chief remedy; shifting the burden of proof so that claimants have to demonstrate damage; and preventing cases from being heard in London unless at least 10% of the offending publication's circulation is in the UK' | loverat
23/11/2009 21:19 | And this is the reason. People abusing the law. Can you believe it? - murderers using our libel laws to avoid being exposed. The laws help despots War criminals and despots are using England's draconian libel and privacy laws to try to gag their critics. In one case, Human Rights Watch, a campaigning charity, was forced to change a report about the genocide in Rwanda after a man it accused of helping to transport a group of Tutsis to their deaths threatened to sue in English courts. | loverat
23/11/2009 21:06 | Anyway - tomorrow is the London Asia Capital GM in London. Perhaps the directors might be able to shed some light on why this company has a proposal for 'strike off' on the Company House Website. Mind you - I am sure the meeting will primarily focus on the success in uncovering underhand activities at LAC and the future for shareholders. Let's hope all goes well. I am certainly pleased that the news so far is encouraging for shareholders. Seems they might do far better than the majority of Langbar shareholders who participated in the SOA. Concerning the RA - I am not concerned or particularly interested in what they got. If they did achieve a better settlement it was not because they were an inclusive group - if they were, they would have had a much higher membership and would have received much less per person. No, without criticising individuals who chose that way it just seems that a small exclusive clique may have achieved a better settlement at the expense of shareholders who thought they were doing the honest and the right thing. Such a shame - I'll be glad when people can put those events behind them and finally move on. | loverat |
