23/11/2009 20:15 | Perhaps I should explain. Fusebox is a major shareholder in EKT, (3% at one stage) a company which I had a small holding myself. Fusebox and myself are great friends, although due to both being busy we have not been in contact that much lately. Anyway - the person who e-mailed me that was some nutcase who had this thing about impersonating Fusebox and had some kind of weird grudge. In other words the person who e-mailed me that was not the real 'Fusebox' and I apologise if my post caused any misunderstanding in certain quarters. | loverat
23/11/2009 19:50 | Well, I would like to apologise to readers for some posts being removed today. After 800 or so posts it seems that someone has taken exception to one or two things I said at the weekend. I assume that they had no problem with the previous 800 posts but obviously something I said struck a raw nerve. On another point - my apologies to Mr Knifton if you are reading - I don't know you and what I said was uncalled for. | loverat
23/11/2009 00:30 | If it's the Leo Knifton who's involved with PTC, SIM4Travel etc then I suggest you check out the companies performances and the habit of the company to issue huge amounts of convertible loans at ridiculously low coversion prices. | tarvold
22/11/2009 10:54 | And the meeting for London Asia Shareholders is this coming Tuesday. Lets see what happens there. Early days yet but could this be one situation where persistance and determination by one person to uncover wrongdoing and realise value for shareholders wins the day. Rather than what seems to be the norm - people jumping on the gravy train to line their own pockets and money being swallowed up by opportunist and greedy lawyers. Let's wait and see. 'This GM of the Company will be held at 11am on Tuesday 24th November 2009 at Speechly Bircham LLP, 6 New Street Square, London EC4A 3LX and the notice of the GM is set out in the Appendix to this document' | loverat
22/11/2009 10:26 | The compensation culture is alive and well. People claiming for everything - people claiming more than they are entitled. Meanwhile shareholders in this small company have been forgotten. Seems to me size does matter. Shareholders have rights here too you know. This company disappeared along with others with no explanation whatsover. Not a peep for two years and then Anomalous knocks up a website for Holmes to send a message to shareholders. Well, that is not good enough. To devote nearly the whole message to how well the company did when it was focusing on the education business (which incidentally was sold to Holmes and Allnutt for 70K)and then blaming the change of strategy as devised by Victor Ng as the reason for failure is unacceptable. Answers are required and pretty damn quickly. | loverat
21/11/2009 17:14 | And I reckon we are due another update from the CEO of COMG regarding the latest developments. Anomalous - give James and George a nudge will you? I am sure you won't mind them using your COMG Website to update long suffering shareholders here. Considering the circumstances perhaps they would care to make a donation? | loverat
21/11/2009 15:39 | A total of 259 high court defamation writs were issued last year, according to a review by the law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, the most since 2004. I suppose if his claims are counted individually in these figures Anomalous would be responsible for 10% of the claims last year. 27 plus claims - and 18 of them dropped. | loverat
21/11/2009 15:03 | The number of defamation cases that reached the high court surged by 11% in 2008 to a four-year high, as foreign claimants took advantage of the UK's tougher laws to seek "libel tourism" awards from publishers. A total of 259 high court defamation writs were issued last year, according to a review by the law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, the most since 2004. LOL. Surely the rise is accounted for by one person!!! | jonc
21/11/2009 11:34 | Don't know much about strike offs although there was a conversation here when the Investors Support Fund was going through the same process. Seems that companies can be struck off voluntarily or by the registrar's own initiatve. Strike off, Dissolution and Restoration - GP4 October 2009 - Version 2 1. Can the registrar strike a company off the register on his own initiative? Yes, if it is neither carrying on business nor in operation. The registrar may take this view if, for example: * he has not received documents from a company that should have sent them to him; or * mail that the registrar has sent to a company's registered office is returned undelivered; or * the company has no directors. Before striking a company off the register, the registrar is required to write two formal letters and send notice to the company's registered office to inquire whether it is still carrying on business or in operation. If he is satisfied that it is not, he will publish a notice in the relevant Gazette stating his intention to strike the company off the register unless he is shown reason not to do so. A copy of the notice will be placed on the company's public record. If the registrar sees no reason to do otherwise, he will strike off the company not less than three months after the date of the notice. The company will be dissolved on publication of a further notice stating this in the relevant Gazette. Further information about the Gazette can be found in chapter 1, question 8. | loverat
21/11/2009 11:05 | This has just been brought to my attention. It seems a fairly recent development by the looks of it. Name & Registered Office: COMMODITY GROWTH PLC 8 FIR VALE ROAD BOURNEMOUTH UNITED KINGDOM BH1 2JG Company No. 03790906 Status: Active - Proposal to Strike off | loverat
21/11/2009 08:17 | Re RA settlement There was a post made on ADVFN back in May which has subsequently been edited. Fortunately I saw the original and kept a copy which has the % offered quoted. I can't vouch as to whether the % quoted in the post is accurate but it was removed rather quickly so likely to have some validity. If someone would like me to email them a copy of the original post let me know with an appropriate email address. | tarvold |
