12/11/2019 11:34 | Definitely moved up quickly on a handful of buys today. MMs widened the spread as usual. | chrisis33
12/11/2019 11:09 | Have bought in recently, worth noting this was trading at 1.6p last year when the gold price was far lower. The seller gives the small investor the chance to get in at rock bottom levels, the free float is small which means the share price moves fast on thin volume. The seller could be near the end, would explain the recent up move. | observer007

12/11/2019 10:41 | It was a weird trade that pushed it down 10%, it was never down 10% | littlepuppi7
12/11/2019 10:39 | Was than 10% down to 10% up? | block4gooner

12/11/2019 10:22 | Despite the recent CPR's and new upgraded website, communication is still poor, even down to the poor standard of English language displayed in company literature. Altyn are not alone in this, as many London listed companies are in fact mostly foreign entities with merely a London office. Standards of the written word generally are slipping unfortunately. | excellance
12/11/2019 08:53 | Have taken a position here after a long break from the stock market, have had investment success historically from small producers. The share price here is depressed due to a seller but often they clear when least expected and the subsequent upside can be tremendous. I think this could be a great play, clearly the BOD's interests are aligned. Some news must be forthcoming, I will be adding to my initial position in due course. Often the best gains are made from unloved stocks. | grimreaper2019
12/11/2019 08:24 | I agree. Seems to me that something got lost in translation or interpretation - 9 years makes no sense to me..More widely it makes me wonder about shareholder communications - maybe I think too much! | tightfist
12/11/2019 08:08 | I would suggest that is not the life of mine but rather the period of stable production. A good indicator of LOM is the amount of reserves multiplied by the recovery rate (you then need to apply a multiplier based on historic performance but I don't know what that is currently). The reserves will currently support a much higher LOM in my opinion. | jc2706
11/11/2019 22:25 | 100K OZ/YR Targeted run-rate production for ~9 years | excellance
11/11/2019 21:57 | I'm sure I read on the altn website that life of mine once producing 100k was just 9 years...but I'll check that when I get a minute... You have to wonder why 2 x CPR's, a $17m loan and even a new website...if they don't intend ramping up investor interest...presumabl | excellance
11/11/2019 18:58 | To sell one of the assets.... | highly geared
11/11/2019 18:48 | Indeed. Life of mine is one thing that is not a problem with ALTN. In fact I questioned at the last CPR why they were bothering to increase reserves there. | jc2706
11/11/2019 17:44 | excellence, What stock are you posting about? It sounds as though you are mixing ALTN up with HUM. ALTN have a LoM of decades at Seki. | chipperfrd
11/11/2019 17:21 | Risky because they now need to ensure debt repayments to ths banks and have quite a troubled history of making profit, so yeah it's risky, but the rewards should be phenomenal if they can get this right. I know life of mine is only 9 years, and a portion of the profit will go towards developing mine number two, but I think we'll see a significant increase in revenues very soon and in 2 to 3 years profit should be considerable justifying a much higher share price than today based on profit and growth potential. I do wonder if they'll just sell off a large chunk of equity once it's revalued? | excellance
11/11/2019 16:30 | That makes a lot more sense. I was really struggling to understand how they could have gone so long. | jc2706
11/11/2019 14:51 | As stonefold has said, the ADVFN trading data does not correctly represent cancelled or modified trades. So I have amended my sheet after comparing data with the SharePad record. Hence here is the amended monthly record for 'O' trades (rounded to Millions): Jan: Buys 0.357, Sells 0.187, Balance +0.169 Feb: Buys 1.7 Sells 1.2, Balance +0.5 Mar: Buys 8.1, Sells 7.5, Balance +0.4 Apr: Buys 13.0, Sells 76.8, Balance -63.7 May: Buys 12.0, Sells 62.3, Balance -50.3 Jun: Buys 26.5, Sells 17.8, Balance +8.7 Jul: Buys 95.7, Sells 170.9, Balance -75.1 Aug: Buys 64.4, Sells 24.1, Balance +40.2 Sep: Buys 161.4, Sells 54.4, Balance +107.0 Oct: Buys 123.4, Sells 62.5, Balance +60.8 Current ytd 'O' trade balance (as of Fridays close) is c. +40.8m. So looking far better. However, total Automatic trades ytd is c. 276m so impossible to know how they alter the overall situation regarding overhang. Chip | chipperfrd
10/11/2019 19:46 | "Risky for sure" ........interestingl | sloppyg
10/11/2019 19:16 | Well, I'm banking on it, one man's pleasure is another man's pain, or in this case the holders of DB investments. The DB situation is a fantastic opportunity at a good time for potential ALTN investors like me and I've taken full advantage for a long term investment. I don't like "trading" shares, prefer buy and hold situations, and this is as good as they get despite lack of recent company information. Risky for sure but very exciting potential in a fairly short time of just 2 or 3 years! | excellance |
