05/11/2019 09:33 | Do we not think there might be a placing further down the live assuming production is up and they want to push on to 100,000oz? I know they have talked about funding from cashflow but perhaps they wouldn't rule out a placing if the price was right. | homebrewruss
05/11/2019 09:23 | They obviously have their reasons and even bore the cost of going onto the Main Market. I purely speculate that the family want to have the opportunity to transfer some of their wealth into a different (Western) economy. Usually I would buy-into the argument that having a quote provides more senior management remuneration opportunities....... | tightfist
05/11/2019 08:45 | This has been raised many times in the past. I don't think anyone has an answer. It may be that a listing allows price discovery more effectively and that selling ultimately becomes more transparent. Who knows? But they have had the opportunity to take this private for years and haven't done so. I see no reason why they should do so now. | jc2706
05/11/2019 08:24 | I don't even know why these have a listing on the stock market. | excellance
05/11/2019 08:05 | Yes, that's a big worry for me, they employ directors based on blood line rather than ability, and that can never be competitive. | excellance
05/11/2019 07:53 | Excellence, You seem to be applying normal rules of operation to Altyn. Don't! This is a family business and they effectively do what they like. | jc2706
05/11/2019 07:52 | 'Altyn' was a Russian currency. Companies change their names for a number of reasons but to my mind two are the most common: 1. The nature of the company has changed (it might once have been called xxxxx gold but now focuses on zinc for example). 2. The company has a bad reputation that they wish to draw a line under. Whilst you may be tempted to think that '2' applies here, I think that the reality is that the company just came under new influencers who fancied a different name! | jc2706
04/11/2019 22:46 | has there been no corporate presentations or media interviews in recent years? if not, why not? | excellance
04/11/2019 22:44 | well, after three years without any corporate presentations the company have now produced 2 x CPR's on their 2 main assets, a new website, and have finally sourced finance on good terms, so surely they can now go full speed ahead for development and begin selling this company to the investment community... 9m oz gold assets, more to be added, $17m in the bank, producing gold ore at 29,000 t pcm after delivery of new cat diggers in H1, mkt cap of £11m, deutsche bank selling in fire sale offers great value for investors at the current time, lots of risk obviously, but its a potentially fantastic investment opportunity! | excellance
04/11/2019 22:26 | That loan is undoubtedly secured !! | stockknobjockeyvanbookstino
04/11/2019 21:11 | seems to me that this company are finally ready to deliver on a long standing plan, to develop large scale underground mining. the only problem i can see is the fact that this company is run by a tight knit family that doesn't appear to appreciate the importance of communication. presumably they are listed on the stock market for access to finance, but then they decide to borrow the cash instead...and i'm not complaining, it seeks like a good deal to me, but they now need to deliver solid financial results to manage debt repayments, and their history in that regard here at ALTN isn't great. seems to me they've been just treading water for years, perhaps poking around preparing for development on a low budget. | excellance
04/11/2019 01:42 | "The loan is repayable in instalments over a term of seven years and bears interest at 6%." I would think they'd have to say if the loan was convertible into shares, or has warrants or options attached, tho it doesn't say secured or unsecured. "After exploring a number of opportunities and an extensive due diligence period we are very pleased to update our shareholders on the funding received." So funding has been received, cash in the bank according to the words used, tho could be terrible English and missed by the nomad. | excellance
03/11/2019 22:29 | Exel: Where does it state the conditions of the loan in case i have missed that ? I do not recall any comms re. security, covenants, guarantees etc. I think that in part explains the current share price weakness; the loan has only been approved but we have no confirmation yet re. the terms and and that the cash is actually in the bank. I hope that this is a mere formality but until we have definitive confirmation of cash in the bank and how the capital is to be deployed I suspect we will bounce around at these levels. | sloppyg
03/11/2019 15:45 | Consider this...the company could literally buy themselves out with the cash they borrowed from the bank, illustrating how ridiculous the current share price is, I mean it's absurd! 😁 But a business plan was produced, due diligence performed, and the banks offered terms as good as I've ever seen, 6% interest, not convertible, not secured, no warrants or options...so explain to me why the banks would be so generous if there was any chance of them losing their cash! Ok we have to repay the capital plus interest and that will drain our profit potential, but production is destined to treble or quadruple, driving down cost and increasing margin and overall revenues exponentially. £10m may cap is absurd! | excellance
02/11/2019 17:41 | They've obviously got a robust business plan that satisfies the banks and don't want any dilution, so should be an exciting couple of years ahead | excellance
02/11/2019 16:30 | That's always an aim, but first they need to prove there is value and profit to be made going forward. | excellance
02/11/2019 14:32 | 3-5years dividends and or sale of company if/ when production increases. That would possibly be an aim of the bod. | wrighty46
02/11/2019 14:02 | Regarding the recent $17m loan on great terms, what is the point of a,listed company raising cash in this way? What is the point of being listed? | excellance
01/11/2019 09:16 | I believe Altyn was a historic name of Kazakhstan? Pure sentimentality or appealing to a different audience? I don't believe the structure changed from Hambledon, Goldbridges then ALTN. .Looking back since Shkolnik joined the BoD last December, both Balian and Herbert have left. As we know, the funding has been now resolved on very advantageous terms and in which I alluded to "mates rates". Taking a refresher on Shkolnik's high-level network has not changed my mind! | tightfist
01/11/2019 08:56 | Why did ALTN change name? Was there different structure? | excellance
01/11/2019 08:41 | Anyway, back to ALTN, no news so I'm going back to bed... | excellance
31/10/2019 18:56 | great minds think alike,, LOL,,, hope so excellence, good luck my friend :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
31/10/2019 18:06 | strangely, exactly my thoughts... sideways awaiting conformation via company reports of targets being hit, and of course we need the copper price to at least not fall much from here, which in itself is not certain. | excellance
31/10/2019 17:55 | RMM TAwise,, I'd say hopefully it's formed a new low and is looking for a new direction, recent GC good sign for a rise from here, but it may go sideways for some time yet :-).... wishing you the very best of luck with it, cheers Wan :-) FAwise - in the immortal words of manuel 'I know nothing' :-) LOL free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | wanobi
31/10/2019 17:46 | i broadly agree with your chart, but believe that the overall trend should now continue in a positive direction after bouncing. It could of course again test lows, and why not, if as it appears there is an overhang then stranger things can happen, there's always risk... isn't there another CPR due? my guess is the CPR's were produced as part of due diligence to satisfy the banks, and prove a business case, so the very fact that the loan was approved is as good a green light as we plankton at the bottom of a murky pond will ever get. I'm interested in your opinion on copper and another baby of mine RMM if you are interested and have time. cheers. | excellance |
