I’ve become quite a significant holder since I reinvested in June, I’d certainly like to visit the plant next September. Apart from meeting fellow shareholders and seeing the plant, it gives a rare opportunity to discuss the business and the outlook with the people in charge. There’s no doubt that the family have grand ambitions for the company, and Aidar alluded to some of the detail at the AGM. By next September, it’s likely that some of the master plan will have been implemented.

If we look at the chart from 2019 to 2021 we can see how the current chart may develop, but back then we had the problem of COVID uncertainty and a drought in the capital markets, and our share price retreated while we weathered the storm. I think the delay in getting funds in that period took the wind out of our sails and set us back a year or two, but we did get the funding on great terms...and here we are.

I doubt I'll be able to go, but I am excited by the idea that they are engaging in that, it means they have an exciting narrative to sell, or why else would they bother?

I'll probably be on the beach. 😐.

I've already made my investment decision, happy for the company to promote the story and encourage others with deeper pockets to do the same, but my guess is they'll be looking for a totally different style of investor, probably those looking for lower risk high yield growth stocks, whereas I was enticed by the high risk high capital return model as the company evolved.

I am delighted to with the progress over the last five or six years, it has taken a little longer than I had initially thought but at least they haven't dropped the ball like so many have during and since COVID.

I don't analyse data but I do watch the tape. It sometimes gives clues to what's going on. Shows if a stock is really well bid, or there are sellers hanging around! Lots of games get played !

I never mind being educated by someone who knows their stuff. I know lots of investors like to analyse the trading data, personally I just pay the market price if I think it’s cheap.

The most common and truly active smaller company MM / trader is Winterflood Securities, ( WINS - on screen ) now owned by Close Brothers.

In many cases the companies broker is one of the 'MM's', and the other one or two will be 'friendly banks' or active smaller company etf, basket traders. The ' you do my stock I'll help with yours' was common as many stocks don't trade but have to show a price. I use to know them all, but companies hire and fire and get 'reorganised faster than an intercity. Used to be very clubby! I'm not suggesting collusion, just cooperation needed to ensure the listing has liquidity. At the end of the day they just want to full fill the exchanges requirements.

All stocks have registered traders / MM's, the big banks and brokers who wish or sometimes don't really wish, are encouraged to make / take positions in a minimum number of stocks. That is why the stock often on open has a wide spread and shows 3k per shares.
In the smaller companies can be as few as just two banks/brokers involved. Then anyone can put in bids and offers but only the registered dealers can see the hidden orders! They get certain privileges when it comes to working orders and reporting.
Trying to keep it simple.

Been a few years, but the game hasn't changed.
MM (market makers) raise the offer to deter buyers and or improve their average on any short. Then they drop the bid down as sellers mostly just watch their side, seeing the bid fall they get worried and sell, making a small profit for the MM In reality these stocks don't make much money trading, most MM's are happy to keep a flat book. ! Seems too simple, but does often work particularly in these much smaller illiquid stocks where any trade of size has delayed printing. Very easy to play around with the spread to motivate sellers, especially if done when the gold price is dipping Helps when the MM has a firm order in his pocket. They can also print small trades to make it look like the stock is up or down when in reality the volume would suggest the opposite. Don't start me on rigging closing prices!

The buy price goes up, the seller price goes down. Anyone understand the logic there, seriously? Would love to understand
