26/9/2014 14:14 | Looks like a few are taking little nibbles at last prior to expected news | fozdad
25/9/2014 13:13 | I would certainly hope that there will be significantly more pragmatism in the contractor selection this time around! If memory serves me well, didn't they have a preferred contractor at one time before CNOOC stopped everything? | fozdad
25/9/2014 12:07 | fozdad 18 Sep'14 - 20:35 - 16894 of 16911 You are right they are going through a bidding process but I was meaning not to level CNOOC went too . CNOOC pre qualifying selection process etc was tedious and unnecessary. Altona and Parsons would undoubtedly know which drilling companies are capable of undertaking such a program already. Altona asking Parsons to identify suitable contractors is just a documentation formality. Parsons will have a database of companies for every type a exploration, building, construction work to hand. What’s the problem with the spread. Normal 10-15% spread. Currently 65 - 72.5 | tarni
25/9/2014 09:59 | Spread is always wide on Aim. | newkid
24/9/2014 17:08 | Good old mm's trick with a massive spread, they also know that news is due. | p0pper
24/9/2014 09:03 | Shavian. Unless Altona were going to ship raw coal it would not effect anything here. | newkid
24/9/2014 07:22 | It's all about this: China is under pressure to reduce pollution and is seeking cleaner energy sources than dirty coal. ANR has to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem. | shavian
23/9/2014 07:59 | Or what the news will be | wiganer
23/9/2014 07:57 | zulu - profile created June 2014 - tells you all you need to know fact is, news IS just around the corner - but none of us can see the corner yet :-) | cheekyfella
22/9/2014 17:10 | I think we can rest assured that news will come at some point. With the volumes at these levels wouldn't expect it to be soon. | newkid
22/9/2014 16:03 | zulu, mine was said in a tongue in cheek, sarcastic note, hence the :) | p0pper
22/9/2014 15:15 | Seems reasonable | anotherardbeg
22/9/2014 14:01 | reasonable given the significance of the deal - i know i'll be buying more if they come up with a goodun? | pembury
22/9/2014 14:00 | popper - info. available if you want to seek it out. whippet - dead duck is a very tasty dish, especially in China ;-) Expect this to pop back to 1.5p on RNS of agreement, followed by steady rise to 3p + as the drilling is carried out. GLA | zulu88
22/9/2014 13:26 | this is a dead duck and we all know it | whippet1
22/9/2014 12:52 | wow, Zulu is that inside info ?? or is that already known?? :) | p0pper
22/9/2014 12:13 | "shareholders can expect news soon" GLA | zulu88
19/9/2014 23:30 | Nice one NK, but if/when we announce the JV, I'm hoping for a rather more significant jump in percentage terms | fozdad
19/9/2014 17:02 | Put a buy order in for Alibaba shares at 70 dollars via a CFD. 2 dollars above issue price. Currently 98 dollars pre trading. Now if only this share could do an Alibaba. | newkid
18/9/2014 20:35 | According to the RNS in March when ANR took over control of the project again, a bidding process is exactly what they are doing, That said, they must have selected a contractor by now, just need the funding (is that all???) | fozdad
18/9/2014 17:31 | NewKid CL said he could have contractors on site and drilling within a month, when referring to CNOOC lack of decision making last year, and remember they need to give land owners notice of 21 days, so you can decide whether CL has a contractor lined up, even as far back as last year. So I would say he is probably already ahead of you on that one. I would very surprised if they went through a tender/bidding process as that was more a CNOOC requirement at the time. | tarni
18/9/2014 10:09 | NK, couldn't agree more | fozdad
18/9/2014 09:37 | Tarni. Whilst talks are ongoing between Altona and co could we not line up a drilling contractor to commence drilling as soon as the paperwork/approvals from the relevant authorities are received? An RNS to that effect would most certainly support the share price It would demonstrate a commitment to the project by all concerned if nothing else. It shouldn't be a big decision. After all, CNOOC had spent 5 years short listing 3 companies we were led to believe. | newkid |
