The biggest risk to an individual shareholder with several million shares is the illiquidity of ALGW shares. If you needed to sell for some external reason you would struggle to sell more than 1 million shares per day without the MMs ripping you off.

The biggest risk to the Company and it's funds is it's profitability. I asked GS about the robustness of the valuations that the actuaries place on the policies that ALGW buys and he assured me that for the funds to lose value every policy holder would have to live way beyond 100. US life expectance has increased by 7 years over the last 50 years.

As I have already mentioned a while ago, just look at AAA for the potential here. No ramp intended

Just looking around the talk on here, its extremely positive about the future prospects of the business model and the massive growth potential. Can anyone see any downside from where we are now that will affect the growth?
= = = =

I'd been wondering much the same.
The only downside I can come up with, is the illogical reaction to positive news.
I've been invested in a few pharma companies recently. The SPs ran upwards very impressively during the lead-up to trial results. When the results arrived (generally positive), after the briefest of tick-ups, the share price tanked. So sentiment can be the investor's un-doing.

As the old saying goes, it can be better to travel, than to arrive.

ALGW, 9/4/2021Revolving Credit Facility to Direct Investment (RCF)"As announced last month, the asset management company which we are in discussions with regarding the RCF is now planning to directly invest in a block of life settlement assets. This is very positive for Alpha Growth as it means we will benefit from the fee revenue associated with the ongoing management of these assets without the costs of a new structure. We are pleased to update that the asset management company is currently in the process of reviewing a block of 100 life settlements, these assets were sourced by Alpha Growth and will be managed by Alpha going forward. Once this review completes it will further add to our AUM and revenue. The Company expects to make a further update regarding this before the end of April."

Hi Giles, I disagree, the blocks of trades are coordinated usually in line with a share price move, imo it's tidying up as the order is filled, small trades? Who buys 50 shares there was x2 1.5m trades reported late on, a rollover or the combination of the blocks of trades.

Hi, anybody know / think today's rise is linked to the Bermuda Investment update?

I think we can all agree that the warrants that came with the shares bought in the recent placement will all be taken up. Including those there will be about 616 million shares in issue. Apparently ALGW will become a takeover target when the Market cap. reaches £100 million which, with 616 million shares, is when the share price gets to 16.25p. Now, obviously the Company won't be bought immediately but I doubt the share price will get much beyond 20p before it's bought out.

SOS100 ALGW wont exist in 2 years, dont think theyll exist in a year. Theyll be bought out hopefully for a rather large sum of money

@7rademark: LOL at your 'orders' :) They were just more of those ridiculous tiny buys. 17 trades for a total of 2073 shares or a whopping £118.16 plus costs. A good day for shareholders though :)

These blocks of buys have been absent for the last week or two, the buyer / buyers was probably hoping for a larger retrace so held off and is now back at it through necessity

Sold a small amount last week to fund a small purchase in NCCL. I don't have a large holding compared to some on here, but am rather hoping my 600k shares will provide a decent return for my SIPP
