The Life Settlement Market Grew Significantly in 2018

..the life settlement industry saw substantial growth 2018... a 28% increase in policies sold, to 2,587 last year, from 2,027, and an even larger 35% increase in volume by face amount. Face amount increased by about $1 billion, to $3.8 billion.

This is why life settlement works. It is a better option than surrendering a policy or just giving up on premium payments because of not being able to pay them...

"A life settlement enables older individuals, businesses and other organizations to sell life insurance policies they currently own – but no longer want or need – for an amount greater than the cash surrender value. In some cases the value can be 2-3 times the cash surrender value. Even some term life insurance policies with a conversion option to permanent coverage can qualify for a life settlement.
Do you know the fair market value of your life insurance? In a recent case, a 77-year-old man had a $3.9 million policy that was not performing up to expectations. His advisor recommended that the policy be appraised. A life settlement provider determined that the market value of his policy was $740,000 – four times its cash surrender value. The client decided to sell the policy and use the proceeds for current needs instead of benefiting his estate."

... futhermore the tranparency aspect is so important in this business because in the UK there are great rules and regulations, the London Stock Exchange is probably one of the best recognised exchanges in the world so it commands respect, the UK location is a global financial centre it is a global base and since we have offices here and in the US we are able to service clients globally, so you know, listing on the London Stock exchange, we are a very small we don't expect to stay that way having the listing provides for great opportunity.."
