11/5/2024 17:17 | I've been bitten many times in the past by such hubris. All investment is a calculated risk. At the moment with Alliance the odds are stacked against you. | buoycat
11/5/2024 15:26 | That's tricky points, when pictures are clear share price will be skyrocketing values, everyone is waiting for that to buy same time. My point is I buy before anyone buy & sell before anyone sell. UPON TRADING UPDATE ON 29th JANUARY I AM HAPPY ENOUGH TO BUY & HOLD before anyone does. That's most of profit margin is | blackhorse23
11/5/2024 10:16 | The word you use is slowly. My point exactly. Fools rush in. Better to wait for more certainty. If things are all good then shares will recover. Slowly. I should add I'm a long suffering holder here but will only consider averaging down when the picture is clearer. | buoycat
10/5/2024 17:23 | Up 40% since the Tuesday lows: of course no one knows the future but the vast majority on this board got things very wrong indeed. | justiceforthemany

10/5/2024 13:23 | The prospect of these doubling overnight is remote. They could double over a few days or weeks, perhaps. But if things aren't good they could quickly plummet from here. It's all about risk management | buoycat
10/5/2024 13:20 | Jomojo769 May '24 - 21:07 - 2705 of 2724 On the Butterfield timing, CMA appeal is 7 months overdue and the CMA clearly stated that not being aware is no excuse. Wouldn't surprise me if Butterfield is disqualified from acting as a director so has the post of CEO in name only and can't sign off the accounts. So all a bit of an administrative mess affecting the audit and the search for a replacement taking longer than planned. ===== If this turns out to be the reason for the delay and change of CEO it is shockingly poor management by the Chair. The least that could have been done was to keep the market & shareholders fully informed of the process and reasoning. | simon gordon
