16/9/2019 16:56 | My worry here is that some of the valuations of companies that ANIC are invested in could be too high. There were two articles in the Sunday Telegraph (Business) which provided contrasting views about Beyond Meat. One from a former backer (Tom Mastrbuonni) who argued that it's shareprice was "overcooked", the other from Executive Chairman (Seth Goldman) who believes meat substitutes are starting to enter a "transformational" era. It would be useful if ANIC published the price it paid per share for each of it's investments and the current price. This way it would provide some transparency for shareholders and help put a valuation on the Company (ANIC) as a whole. If uncertainty surrounds Beyond Meat, then it stands to reason the same may apply to BlueNalu, New Age Meats and Bond Pet Foods. Agree it is relatively early days for this market and there will be some volatility but some idea of "investment" value would be useful. | robbiekeane

02/9/2019 10:03 | Agree you don’t need this to happen many time to rerate ; “The price per share of the Subscription represents a multiple uplift of approximately 3.2x since the Company's original investment in BlueNalu of US$250,000 in August 2018.” | scotty666

27/8/2019 16:49 | If you go on their websites same news was out last week already or am I missing something? Seems strange to wait a week if news was last week let alone have an RNS about it...bolds well for confirmation of strategy but stranger that they've released it a week after it's out in public domain and via an RNS? | philipc240

21/8/2019 12:07 | I think it's the whole sector getting peoples attention, rather than any particular company just now (Beyond meat aside). They are and will be mostly at very early stage. But ANIC are investing in them early, like BlueNalu and New Age... progress will be made, next funding rounds will see higher values placed on company, thus book value/NAV at Anic increasing. The real payoff will be catching the one that goes to IPO first. I would expect Richard Reed to have a better idea than me as to which one that could possibly be! Certainly a sector to watch over the coming few years, if you can get in at a price that you consider value. | smackeraim
21/8/2019 12:01 | No worries. I was looking to see which of the investments were getting people excited. New age meats is early days. | allonblack |
