Lovely rise for last few days & a quiet BB which is nice. Yep, just tuck in the bottom drawer & sleep easy.

Tipped (by Jim Mellon himself, admitting he was talking his own book) in the Investment Round Table discussion in the Christmas issue of Moneyweek.

It's been a bumpy ride so far. Fall back was disappointing.
Nevertheless potential is huge.
Definitely a long term hold.

This sector will ultimately be huge but as you say it's picking the winners that matters. But that's part of the beauty of ANIC...not only are you getting early bird access to unlisted companies you are also getting a broad exposure across foodstuffs and geographies. If one or two of the early movers start to get traction I can see this sector getting very hot and ANIC moving to a big premium.

Further investments announced today. This will be a slow burner but could be a long term winner. It will take some years to get commercial quantity production but with global warming getting worse there could be increased urgency in years to come. The real question is has ANIC chosen the future winners?

Really good news this morning . BlueNalu ,IMHO , is going to be a massive company in years to come . A world leader in cellular aquaculture . Will BlueNalu eventually IPO on the US stock market . Hopefully , yes at some stage in the future.

Oritain RNS - Urmm are those numbers correct? They paid half a million for 1.1% a company that has revenues of $2.6m and losses almost as large. Valuing the company at about $45.5m! I can only hope that the revenue projections are rather better than what they have achieved previously in the 10 years they have been in business!

this is going to be one to be patient with, longer term shift in behaviour happening and noticable but will take time to get the industrial side of food production to reach profitability and get the technologies working to advantage.

The BBC reporter , Liz Bonnin ,visited the site of JUST in California, one of the emerging clean meat companies . She sampled their chicken nugget (produced from a cell of a live chicken ). She stated she couldn't taste any difference to nuggets currently on the market .

The BBC panorama program caused quite a reaction on social media . Lots of people were standing up for British farmers producing meat in a traditional way with respect to animals being farmed . However , the program highlighted , on a worldwide scale , how the meat industry cruelly treats animals in the production of meat . Cruel to the animals and harmful to the environment. Good publicity for the alternative meat secrir

I have just taken a small stake - I'm probably mad because I lost on Jim Mellon's other venture Fast Forward FFWD, however maybe he's got it right this time. It's certainly a more focused portfolio than FFWD which was all over the place.
Here's hoping.

Not the most exciting share on the market right now. But it does seem to be a positive future for this sector. See what happens.
