:)) Nice I hope you took that line all with a straight face:) You could have gone along with it and tried to say the swear word as many times as possible with it now being in an acceptable context...when will you ever get the chance again!??:) And also told your colleague that the film is your bosses favourite film and that it is a subject he likes to discuss...

I take it all fairly lightly SITIAIN, all par for the course, I could have chosen a less provoactive name, or just used numbers, but you know I like the Alaxandre Dumas novel and story, personally I liked the fairly recent film with Guy Pierce (an accomplised actor) it was better than the Richard Chamberlin film, although that is still highly entertaining. I also think they should do a modern day twist on the story and film, set in the present time. The story of love, revenge, poverty, and fortune is timeless.

The Three Muskateers is also a classic, and the 70s movies with Oliver Reed are awesome.

Is he referring to the poster now known as The Can't Count of Monte Cristo ?

On that note, I do visit and read alot of threads of stocks I do not hold (not for the same reason as you) and I think you will find it is the posters who have an expert knowledge of the commodity/sector who are the ones who tend to lose the most money on the stock market. If you visit a few oil company threads you will see what I mean. Often these people are so focused on the technicals that they do not know how to invest or trade the shares properly. As a tip, I would also warn anything visiting a thread where there is one 'guru' or expert to be very careful and not get caught up in the hype. I have seen so many of those threads come and go.

I can't stress enough that the only way to deal with these idiots is to put them on filter and not respond to them.

Do this and they'll give up.

No need to apologise Count, these bbs are littered with bad losers and whingers who can't take the heat. You did absolutely the right thing by not taking the bait - deprives them of oxygen. My filtered list is about fifty names strong!

Sorry guys Stockologist is one of those nut job posters who spends his days stalking posters, he has sadly been following me around a few bbs this morning, simply because he childishly disliked a post I made about one of his many critical posts. You know what they say, if you can take it dont dish it out.

One wonders, where these bb nutters come from:)

Maybe a change of name is appropriate like say 'Can't Count of Monte Cristo'

You are showing yourself up as being rather inept and error prone Count.

Getting mixed up between East and West. (schoolboy error or senility ?)
Not knowing how to spell 'know-nothing' when trying to belittle someone elses knowledge. (smalltime schoolboy error and/or senility ?)
Not knowing a bad RNS when you see one. i.e. calling MARL completely wrong.

Maybe all the losses catching up with you? A sterling example of why the FCA should regulate to stop mug punters investing on their own behalf if they are incapable of grasping even the most basic of concepts.

yes I did mean West to East...doh!

Agreed, about foood production, soft commodities and growing consumption, if or more likely when things tank the US dollar will decline and commodities will go up, although Cocoa seems to be doing very well whatever, due to the supply-demand issues:)

Worth checking out what the average age of the farmer is across Europe, the US and most of the Western economies.

All makes sense - investors are chasing yield as well. I'm thinking food production should be a good hedge :). Did you mean West to East?

Yeah although I do believe the Wests is artificially pumping things up, to make you all feel richer, when in fact over the last few decades the West has become poorer...the shift of power and wealth is continuing from East to West.

The below video from this morning by Philip Manduca of Titanium Capital made a lot of sense to me, along witb what the likes of Sprott, Jim Rogers and Marc Faber are saying.

Yep, AIM index up 100 since July, seems investors are feeling more confident about the long term future and stocks like this will feel the benefit. More to come hopefully.

Zambeef has about 60000 head of cattle so we could get ball park profit figures per annum from their website. But our herd size is a lot smaller currently.

im very happy with everything here except the share price, we are a real fast and go getter company for such a small m-cap its hard sometimes to keep up with the pushes forward here. 40,000 head of cattle will be valued at £40 million or there abouts in the hoof so though the beef buisiness has yet to show a cash profit the asset value is greatly increasing, obviously the enhanced value will be when the herd is at max size and then all cattle over can be sold instead of kept to increase herd size, 40,000 head should produce over 25,000 cattle a year for the slaughterhouse thats £25 million then value added at slaughter then shops, that will be more than double. so £50 million less costs, as the cattle are our own they costs are lowered and we are using lot of our own maize waste product for winter and feedlot feeds so im going to go with half of that being pure profit ie £25 million a year from the beef buisiness when at 40,000 head.

thats a nice start :)

timescale to 40,000 will be a few years yet, though i believe the board think we will be in profit here from 10,000 head onwards.

Bean to Bar more like Jimmy:) Good questions, I guess time will tell. Personally I was wondering whether we may, in time, see them start to produce the whole chain of products with the Cocoa, but too early to say at the moment, maybe they will end up processing the cocoa, I mean why not?

In regards the port, if you mean Conarkry then this is on the back burner (see some recent posts on this on this bb by some other posters).

I guess most of the share value will arise during the next few years, hence why one may wish to sell out IF they reach the 40k head, but this would probably not occur until 2020 in my humble opinion.

count, more a pork man :) make my own sausages and burgers from my own pigs

if we have such a good market locally for the meat, then i wonder if the idea to sel halal beef to the middle east has been put on the back burner, what happened about the dock investment anyone know or update me as i cant remember reading anything recent about it. seems perhaps its not a priority anymore?

one of the most intresting areas for me is tropical farms ltd, how much of the cocoa are we going to use ourselves for the chocolate bar that is produced. do we have plans to make other confectionery through tropical farms ltd? or is the main idea to export. field to fork for cocoa plantations could be a real winner in africa.we could be the african nestle. i wonder if this is a plan for the future? if anyone here is going to the AGM i wonder if this question could be asked

check out the website for info on tropical farms
