An excellent trading update and although "only" in-line with previous forecasts there are a number of developments on the up in the second half which should follow through into 2005. I like this bit in particular:

"The Infinity Fryer, the key focus for future growth in prime
cooking, is currently undergoing field trials with two major international
groups and within the UK has been specified by a number of major chains. Its
technical superiority, cost efficiency and environmental benefits make it an
exciting prospect for 2005 and beyond."

Still a good solid hold in my view.

Should be a pre-close trading statement next week. Looking for good news to take us up to 300p.

1-4,
yes I meant 300 for aga.

off-topic:
I took only modest profits on RTD because i was grateful to recover a bad loss situation having bought in too high. I have been caught out too often on small caps vulnerable to share price volatility. Am learning more patience before diving in and not to be too greedy when in profit.
Good luck.

GF: (Assume you meant AGA=300 in your last post)
I was tempted by AXA, I must admit, but didn't buy - just personal logistical reasons. RTD has been good to me. I originally got in at 11p and took profits at 24p in the summer - just missed the peak. Then back in at 18 and the rest is history. I'm going to hold because I think 38/40 is possible. Stop loss at 25 at the moment to allow for MM movements. Perhaps I should have sold at 30. Hindsight, eh!

I must add that this doesn't always happen to my stocks!!

Cheers

1-4, I came out of RTD recently in profit after being well down for most of the year, came out too early though it seems. Will look at BLT and DTZ. Have about 20 stocks on my watchlist at any given time most of which I would buy into on dips. Also have large holding in AXA on Paris market.
Hoping for at least 200 on AGA, dont want to be too greedy though.

I Understand.

I hold BLT, RTD and DTZ among my ISA stocks but most are adventurous Investment trusts/Unit trusts. I usually live more dangerously outside of the ISA though ABM is one of the safer of my AIM holdings. Also hold a few US (inc. WHI, TE., ASO, HBAN), and one German stock.

I'm going to let AGA run as well. Stop loss set at 210 but I think I'll move it up to 245

Cheers

1-4,
Had a quick look at ABM, fundamentals look good, unfortunately I dont dabble in AIM stocks, not ISA-able.
Am currently also in COST, JPR and UKC but holding quite a bit in cash at the moment. Need to decide next week whether to protect my position in AGA ahead of the xmas break or let it run. My feeling at the moment is to let it run. I cant see any downside other than a general market fall.

Agree about quite boards and successful shares. Im in ABM - another good example.

I think it means there are no shorters about!

oftm,
thanks. I often find the quietness of the board is in proportion to the success of the share and vice verca. I've no ideas I'm afraid on the way this price moves, maybe market makers playing about although I don't generally subscribe to the view that MMs are evil, conniving types (perhaps I'm naive). I think the indication is that the share price never seems to be under pressure whatever is happening in the market as a whole, possibly it is being underpinned by the company's buy-backs.

I guess my next target is around 290, depending on news. The current rise is a little too fast for my liking, and though it is welcome, we might retrace a bit. I was in AGA at 225 on the last dip in SP

Good end to the day though.

Hi, one for the money. Presume you are a holder. Do you have a target price here or are you in it indefinitely? My holding is showing a 15% increase in 3 months but I feel that there is a lot more to come.

Thank you aga, moving nicely into new territory. Looking for 275 now please and maybe 280 by the year end. If anyone is out there, do they have any idea when there may be news on the potential new contracts with the fast food merchants?

Hi redbush. Do you have a target price? I see no reason why the previous high of 264p should not be tested before the year end, especially with some help from the share buy back programme, and with a generally reasonable overall share market. I would hope that 300-ish is not out of reach at full results time in March.
