10/4/2002 17:01 | don't you bet on it....maybe another weakish day and then another run thro' the £3 barrier. No position at the moment....waiting - chart looks fab. | cat
10/4/2002 16:49 | Seems to have run out of steam, or gas, or oil or whatever else those big ugly things use;-) | tricky
06/4/2002 03:57 | Pat, Why argue with the market :- Simply put, because todays stars are tomorrows dogs and vice versa. The market is always wrong - a share priice is either overvalued or undervalued - apart from the occasional visits to absolute fair value. Breakouts to excess offer opportunities to buy or sell, as appropriate. As it happens, my Spread Betting firm's spread is too wide on this one so left it alone - just as well considering the pre-disposal hike. AGA only up 79% over the last 2 years which suggests that there is more to come but cannot see the justification on fundamentals! IMHO. | pkvidean
27/3/2002 23:34 | Careful Patrick! The chart is showing a breakout, why argue with the market? | pat o hat
27/3/2002 23:02 | Thanks james8, could be a definite short contender for tomorrow then! I am one company short of my defensive quota and despite 80 or so in my short monitor struggling to find one as most appear to be nearing the end of their interim retracements and I think we are in Rotationsville which complicates matters further. IMHO. | pkvidean
27/3/2002 21:24 | My main concern now is whether AGA is currently in FTSE250. If it is not then it is now capitalised for entry in June in which case do not touch. If it already is then fair game. Anybody know? | pkvidean
27/3/2002 21:21 | This used to be one of my favourite stocks when it was Glynwed Intnl. Seems to have slimmed down and is currently well regarded by the lunatic asylum. However, placed this in my Short monitor a few months back an now appears to be a little over frisky - trading off a historic P/E of about 19 which is high for an Engineer. Sector is now tepid and moving into hot but cyclically AGA has been doing its own thing and has generally held its ground well while just about every other engineer was going into freefall. Good candidate for a top fish short!. IMHO. . | pkvidean

23/4/2001 09:35 | Not sure what is happening with this ..no newsflow on the tender offer. Is it worth selling these at present or hold ? | sirraman
11/4/2001 22:52 | Following obtained from company news statement : hope it helps. The Tender Offer The form of tender offer we propose allows shareholders to be treated equally as well as offering them the choice of whether or not to participate. Shareholders may opt to sell some or all of their shares in return for cash, or they may choose to retain their shares and thereby increase their pro rata holding in the company. All shares that are successfully tendered will be purchased at the same price, the "Strike Price". This will be the lowest price per share that will allow the purchase of shares with an aggregate purchase value not exceeding #386m. Tenders may be made within a price range. All tenders made at a specified price below the Strike Price and within the Price Range will be accepted in full. Full details of the Tender Offer will be included in a circular to shareholders. The expected timetable covering the tender process is set out below: 6 April 2001 Annual accounts to be sent to shareholders w/c 23 April Circular posted 10 May Extraordinary General Meeting to approve Tender Offer 10 May Annual General Meeting | jitasb
06/4/2001 08:57 | Can anyone tell me how this tender is going to work. I was told there will be a special divident of 150p/share. Why have AGA decided on Tender offer rather than the special divident. Should I stay or should I bail out now. Please advice. | rislam |
