Bought in to this stock today. Interim results and prospects looked very good. Divi reasonable and well covered. Directors bought recently and share buyback programme in place. Looks a good solid medium/long hold.

Am starting new thread because I dont think the old title does it justice anymore. No offence intended to exiting or previous holders.

This is holding well in a dodgy market, seems pretty defensive. Profits not taken yet, think there is a good chance of another surge.

Technical upside break out bullish triangle. look for confirmation of trade above 245 to buy target 280 within 2 weeks.

This is starting to look interesting. Strong volume today with good buying interest (there was a 500k buy order at 250p in the closing auction which didn't get filled).

Is this simply down to results next month and product launches?

If the results are favourable it feels like they could easily go through £3 in the coming weeks.

Good recovery from the so-so trading statement - a number of 50k buys - institutions buying back in?

Any thoughts?

Why so quiet? I hear the Zurich Club [who?] is tipping aga as a two bagger within a year.

To farsight

You're nickname may have let you down this time!!

Agas can be worth (certainly cost) much more than the price you were offered.

If it's not ancient, try £5,000 for size. Plus it is a major attraction for many people, posh or otherwise. Many folk swear by them - they're certainly excellent for cooking with (so my wife tells me).

Maybe this strange attraction to the Rolls of cookers is why the shares have just been punted by a tipsheet.

Chief Exec still sounds a bit gung-ho in all his interviews. Thinks he's gonna take over the world.

With Fired Earth and Aga products he's selling to people who don't care what things cost. Hope bosses employ a different mindset when pricing supermarket installation/maintenance contracts... or at least keep such contracts within a scale that can be cross-subsidised by ripping off the posh customers. To do that they need the posh end to grow ahead of the competitive end and it sounds a bit like they're doing the opposite. Not that it's ever a good idea to have one division propped by another unless very carefully planned. If the golden goose runs out of puff any uncompetitiveness can show up fast.

PS: I see he wants to push into France.. In their present mood matey, I would leave it a while!
