08/8/2006 11:25 | I agree it is safe , but I'm not adding any more unless it gets back to 350 or so; there seem higher yields in the utilities with similar futures I reckon. | wad collector
07/8/2006 19:24 | Edmundshaw ;about that 435 target...looks less credible now .I never did get to find out what egg tastes like. | wad collector
12/6/2006 08:34 | I have been topping up too :-) Any idea why this is so volatile? The direction and degree of movement doesn't seem to correlate with volumes bought or sold. | mctmct
22/5/2006 13:59 | US takeover bid for Enodis probably caused the jump on Friday | bigbertie
19/5/2006 15:38 | Bought back in meself at 357.something yesterday, having top sliced over £4. Looked simply oversold compared to (most) other stocks, and after a good trading update. Still, the fat lady hasn't stopped crooning yet... | edmundshaw
19/5/2006 14:20 | Wish I had too, but no clue as to why up so much today - last few days fall seems to have disproportionate to overall market fall, so perhaps just a correction. | wad collector
19/5/2006 12:39 | Which I'd bought in at 350p yesterday | bearstalker
10/5/2006 09:16 | Another irritating advert by a company that looks back at its tips with a selective eye. | wad collector

17/3/2006 18:00 | I thoroughly agree. If I wanted an industrial fryer(!) I'd buy this one... However we need some serious customers to agree too!! :-) One of many potentials for this co, I think it's surprisingly exciting. | edmundshaw
17/3/2006 16:24 | Good solid results, but the most important item I reckon was about the Infinity fryers. I heard a rumour that the Scottish operation is on max output for these. It seems to be a potential World Market Beater and one or two significant contracts with KFC or Big Mac or Burger King etc could added at least another £1 to the share price potential. Comment was :- "There has been a growing recognition in the foodservice industry that it has lagged behind in providing customers with efficient, innovative energy saving products. The Infinity Fryer launched in 2004 brings energy and quality benefits and the product is steadily gaining recognition. In 2005 it received the Europe Award for Distinguished Development from the Foodservice Consultants Society International 'FCSI'. Similarly, we were delighted to be recognised as the US Government's energy saving scheme's 'Manufacturing Partner of the Year' - a tremendous achievement for our Victory team as they were chosen from entries across the spectrum of US manufacturing companies. We will press the case that customers should specify products that are Energy Star listed. We calculate that in the UK alone our new generation of equipment would cut energy bills of commercial kitchens by £2.2 billion and would consequently cut carbon emissions by 15 million tonnes, equivalent to 4.25% of the Government's target for carbon emission reduction by 2050. Quality, as well as eco-friendliness, is an important growth driver. The Infinity Fryer helps maintain oil quality and keeps process contamination to a minimum because of its built in filtration system. Our best bakery ovens cook based on radiated heat like the Aga and provide best quality breads that have made French bread world renowned. Further, we now have a world leading range of combi-ovens (which combine convection cooking and steaming) and, like our Stellar Steam ovens acquired in the US last year, are boilerless. This dramatically cuts water usage at a time when 'thirsty' products are becoming a real 'eco' concern. Our initiatives are making more efficient, healthy means of cooking more readily available to a wider market." Just MO BM | boite mobile
17/3/2006 12:15 | yes, very solid results. new products going ok, more acquisition benefits to come, also they don't seem to spend huge amounts "integrating" acquisitions, and they still have net cash. the dividend is not over-generous but they are raising it by sensible amounts. good stuff | bigbertie
17/3/2006 10:04 | 400p is a PE of 15, about right for the growth they have not accounting for the new acquisitions and any bullishness (which I do feel from the excellent and lucid strategy outlined in the prelims). 435p includes (very roughly) the annualised contribution from the earnings of the new acquisitions. Actually, if this trades below my idea of the "correct" level and continues to progress, I'll be very happy as I can be lazy - just sit back and not worry about my exit point. I would add at or below 350p. | edmundshaw
17/3/2006 09:54 | OK, maybe it was just the results...and I guess if Panmure put no timescale on a 435 target , it will get there eventually | wad collector
17/3/2006 08:36 | Results today really solid. Although rather long, the statement was full and cogent, outlining past and future strategy. With 6 acquisitions in the last year and still net cash of £20m, the company has more going for it than just current earnings and future potential. Obviously, underlying earnings are greater than the headline as full contributions from the acquisitions have yet to appear. They will look keenly at share buy backs, so another route to EPS growth if th3e share price weakens and/or suitable acquisitions not available. Normally, I might outline the major points of the company and statement that I like; in this case there are just too many! The prelim results are a must read... but not for those with an attention span of 5 minutes :-) I think 435p is perfectly resonable given the 5 year track record of 15% pa compound growth. The management are targeting to continue that growth, but I think they are giving themselves a target they can beat. | edmundshaw
16/3/2006 11:03 | Even at £3.50 the yield not that impressive on those figures ,target of £4.35 seems optimistic if no other Big News. | wad collector
16/3/2006 09:13 | Results tomorrow. 2 months ago AGA said "The strong trading performance of the first half was followed by further progress in the second half, and the Group expects to report results for the full year in line with market expectations." The acquisition of Waterford Stanley should give rise to good news/outlook. Will be interesting to see the take on US, fryers and steamers, how the East Europe business is going, and if Fired Earth is recovering. Dividend somewhere in the region of 6.5p or 7p, total for year 9.5p to 10p would make the yield at £4 (!!) around 2.5%. | edmundshaw
20/2/2006 19:56 | Just noticed Panmure upgraded it to buy on Friday, target price 435p. | bigbertie |
