afh with its proven record of successful acquisitions must be on the radar.

massive AFHP BUYING volumes so far today as judged by any normal trading volumes.

And it's only 10.30 am.

Having almost entirely retrenched from mass-market wealth management several years ago, it was only a matter of time before the big banks would want to get back in. And to get back in fast.

That time is now.

What started softly with Santander in its recently implemented strategy to build a significant wealth management business in the UK , is now developing fast into a major dash back into this sector by all the major players, lead by Lloyds, in this fast developing land-grab.

all imo. dyor.

Important article FT p.1 today re Lloyds on growth plans for significant increase in wealth management.

Article headed "Lloyds' wealth management push sets stage for war with rivals over top talent".

"Other lenders , including Santander, RBS and Citi, are also looking at wealth management to boost their UK earnings"

Sector in great demand and the big banks will eagerly be looking at acquisitions.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Sorry, you're completely right. Maybe the market thought it was 6p xd this morning as they (like me) didn't read the small print!

It's not, it's 2p. I think your confusion arises because they also announced a second dividend of 4p which doesn't go xd until June 19.

Surprised by the drop today. Usually this is fairly resilient when the overall market drops.

Very mute reaction, given how materially earnings enhancing and EPS accretive this acquisition is?

yes all looks good, this is the largest purchase to date, (i think) could bode well for similar larger acquisitions or
when does the predator become the prey?
