Perhaps AFH is running out of steam (or energy) in respect of its own consolidation plans - so could become a target rather than an acquirer ? The CEO is well into his 60's and has to cash in his chips (7 million shares?) at some point.....

A nice bid at £4.50 would see it bought I think.

Yes that statement re 'significant' recurring income reduction and new business possibly ceasing all together in the new tax year is unbelievably negative. There is honesty and there is suicide. Makes him look like he's been completely wrong footed, had no contingency, and is throwing in the towel already. The share price has held up well considering.

I wonder how Liberum are feeling about their £5.69 price target ?

And where is QP. He normally has a view on all things AFH ? Mainly how he hates SJP and thinks AFH are the next big thing....

I did sell this morning, for better or worse.

I really didn't like that Money Marketing article (thx topriser). Particularly the "significantly" reducing recurring income and this paragraph:

"“Our recurring income linked to investments has already reduced significantly and we believe that wealth management new business will decline or cease after tax year end,” Hudson wrote."

My sales were accepted without a price fall at first, but now the price seems to be falling. I note that AFHP haven't yet issued a Covid-19 update, so if that article is anything to go by it won't read well.
