Will firestarter1 look stupid by the end of the day? I hope so!

Mission accomplished!

Not really a Malcy follower, but since his comments weren't shared from his blog yesterday, here they are:

At long last Afentra can announce completion of the Sonangol deal which as CEO Paul McDade says above is indeed a major milestone but perhaps more important is that the effective date and which reduces the cash payment on completion.

It should not be ignored that in what is a very tricky sector Afentra has outperformed recently, the shares have nearly doubled from the 18.8p low and I put this down to the market realising just what a good series of deals that have been done and perhaps more importantly that Mr McDade still has more in him…

Accordingly I’m sure that come the January Bucket List assessment it will still be very much front and centre.

5.2m and counting transaction volume for the day - seems like the MM's are trying to manage the book to help some of those short positions to exit on the cheap!

The net debt/cash numbers for end 2023 would include the first contingent consideration payable to Sonangol of $3.5m and the up to $2m paid to INA hence net debt slightly higher than figures imply from the results end June 2023.Also cash burn ~$2.5m from June to end Dec. Cash burn will now be firmly in the rear mirror going forward .One last point is the $7m contingent consideration for Azule for 2023 will not be paid in full Brent is not high enough. They pay $150k for every $1 Brent averages above $75 - so around $750k.The accrued or sold barrels from Azule now top 1m barrels

Great news - a very good deal, which as suspected has outstanding numbers after the cash flow adjustments from the effective economic date.

Highly encouraging to hear that the asset is performing very strongly following the successful implementation of the initial work programme to optimise production on a huge asset, that has effectively been starved of investment since 2015.

These excellent Angolan deals should financially position the company extremely well to effect further highly material acquisitions in H1/2024.

Transformational Production Acquisitions

• Completion of Sonangol Transaction is a transformative event for Afentra
• Completion statement highlights asset cash flow profile and value accretive nature
of transaction
• Projected YE net debt and cash flow outlook ensures strong liquidity for future
value enhancing M&A
• Positive asset performance reflects potential for asset optimisation and
realisation of value upside
• Sonangol completion supports confidence in completion of Azule transaction later in
Q1 2024

From the ppt presentation in the link in the RNS. Only slight disappointment is last line (Q1 timeline). Other than that should be positive. Will firestarter1 look stupid by the end of the day? I hope so!

I reckon that in the fullness of time, £1.03 will be a distant memory.

Good luck all.

I think that's a 12 month breakout , really hoping that Malcy's "conservative" 100p price target doesn't seem so far fetched this time next year. Very bullish breakout when we are expecting the near term positive news on Sonogal GLA

so do we Lauders

Getting through 30p is a bit like pushing an elephant up a hill in the snow wearing marigold gloves at the moment.

We'll get there
