Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu “emphasized their commitment towards meaningfully advancing the negotiations between Turkey and the EU on visa liberalization with a view to lifting the visa requirements for Turkish citizens to the Schengen area by October 2016,”The EU also said that it will re-open talks on whether to allow Turkey, which has a population of more than 70 million, to join the EU.
Critics have warned that allowing Turkey to join the EU would result in large numbers of migrants attempting to travel to the UK

Well at least I never took up their offer like some deluded individuals that think we are on the cusp of commercialisation now know how wrong they were.

Although I regret not taking up the 10p offer, but hey, I have enough shares if and when they go to £10 I'll be happy as Larry.

Always sell on good news not rubbish that’s the secret of making money, you are in the red RTW so keep everything crossed.

NB

Are we too late....that is the $64k ?, has global warming reached a point of no return, will this really change the situation it has its sceptics mainly in positions of power, who have more pressing and overriding issues to deal with.

That doesn't mean we should not be doing all we can to rectify century’s of industrial pollution with Britain being a major contributor.

Come Thomas:-)

First I think Bond will make a fist of it on a feet on the ground level.; The milestones are mostly realistic, but you need the proven tech before revenue

All Hydrogen cars use FCs; scale will help; IEH may break through ; the world no longer doubts clean energy is not a luxury.

When the Lanstead deal ends where will the money be coming from, market not sure where either that's why share price is down.

The British government needs to show they are serious about producing electricity using green technology, it would be nice if they gave AFC decent grant to give FC's the chance they need, and get them out of the testing stage and into full production and implementation.

No Fuel cell company has ever made a profit yet; which just about sums up why the financial markets are not convinced by this technology or come to think of it governments.

RTW, we all know this is still an R and D company headed up by a salesman who is ahead of his time. ATM the market is taking a breather before Bond gets his mojo going again.I am not sure £1 will be seen until the two contracts are signed and we can see money coming in, but Bond will get there I am sure. He is a winner.Just like Eddie Jones who is enjoying the three easy wins, note he hasn't said his boys will smash Wales, funny that.

Basically this company's share price is anybody's guess. There is no basis to provide a valuation.
- Future revenue cashflows are anybody's guess; the company is not providing clues.
- the technology's commercial viability is still unproven. The latest milestones are basically further r&d activities
- there are no serious potential buyers on the horizon

So what is a fair price? 20p? 10p? 0p? or £1? No one can tell you, neither the house broker, nor Mr Bond nor any analyst.

I sold out a few months back @23p taking a loss. This is now a 'blue sky' stock which to me has much longer odds of succeeding than the Donald becoming the next US president (perish the thought).

Is This The Start Of A New Era For AFC Energy plc,
By Motley Fool | Tue, 1st March 2016 - 14:50

Meanwhile, industrial fuel cell power company AFC Energy (LSE:AFC) is also at the start of what could prove to be a new era. After a successful 2015, it today announced eight new milestones which it is aiming to achieve during the course of 2016. They include the development of a second generation fuel cell stack and Balance of Plant during the second half of the year, as well as the conclusion of the basic design and engineering on a single cartridge 10kW system and a 1MW capacity fuel cell system. In addition, AFC Energy is seeking to commence scoping studies for at least three international fuel cell projects and secure contracts for at least two of them.

A whirlwind year

The news, however, has not been well-received by the market and AFC Energy's shares have fallen by around 16%. Part of the reason for this fall could be a perceived delay regarding the company's progress after such a whirlwind 2015 which saw the company's shares rise from around 10p at the start of the year to reach 58p by July.

However, with AFC Energy continuing to make solid progress towards its goals and setting out a clear strategy for the next twelve months, it continues to be worth a closer look for less risk averse, long term investors. That's especially the case with cleaner energy likely to become a more important industry in the coming years.

The fall and rout has been overdone by a long shot, anyone in AFC knows it's a long ride yet, but, oil will return to higher levels, test results will be good, just don't expect good returns till the end of this year, maybe even the beginning of next yearThose who sit tight and add to their holding will make a lot
