Interesting once again that the share price has fallen by 20% in anticipation.
Quite ridiculous that this is allowed to happen. The shares should have been suspended a few days ago.
Why such a huge discount of neearly 40% ?

Just some examples of the total garbage haggis/stockcheque/constructionnews has been spouting for weeks and months.

"Average broker target is 76.6p which is +230.17% from where it is today, and none of those forecasts include anything for the Ammonia Cracker, which is said by Ammonia Industry experts to be worth far more than the MCap of the company (£126m at the time they advised it on the IMC meeting), which is why AFC had the Capital Markets Event, to try and get it priced in, which in part they have achieved with the 6p price rise since the event adding £45m to the MCap, but clearly it's still way undervalued today.
.
Quite possibly we will get an RNS in the meantime advising us of the boards' decision on the best route to shareholder value from the Ammonia Cracker, sell it, part sell it, JV it, etc etc. They will have had at least four months to think about it by the time of the interims, plenty long enough to study the options and come to a conclusion I'd have thought".

And the tosh continues.

"We could be on our way past 30p towards 40p by the time of the next results at end of July IMVHO.
.

.
It wouldn't surprise me to see the price go past 30p towards 40p by the interims, as the momentum accelerates with the rollout of systems to Speedy and Acciona, with agreements on mass manufacturing of systems in the EU, USA and Canada, and with TAMGO for MENA region, with interest in the Ammonia Cracker, with interest from ii's / HNW / UHNW investors that can see this is a very good company to invest in with a huge future ahead and right now very much undervalued.

.
Also, the trolls employer Helikon needs to buy back approximately 16,518,452 shares to close their short that is currently losing them approximately £1,871,540, buying those back is sure to increase the share price, and the fact the short is closed would add to the positive sentiment for the stock.
.
Ignore the repeated dredging up of irrelevant ancient history by the trolls and con men, don't be mugged off by their disinformation propaganda".

This will be back above 20p in no time.
.
The cash wasn't needed, it is being raised to 'FAST TRACK H-Power delivery'.
.
AFC Energy were not desperate for cash, they had enough in the bank for a year, plus the profit on all the sales this year.
.
The cash is to ACCELLERATE the Fuel Cells AND the Ammonia Cracker, so it is a GOOD NEWS fund raise not a bad news one.
.
I just see it as an opportunity, because there was no way it was going back below 20p unless they did a fund raise below it.
.
So make the most of it, as I expect a lot of others will, maybe even Helikon, as it will be their last chance to close out on a dip too.
.
.
Once the placing cash is in the bag, the ii's may well load up, seeing it as their last chance at the price too, as the Open Offer cash is not even needed, it's just AFC being nice to retail investors by letting them buy the stock at the discount if they want to.
.
.
For those that did not scroll down and read the full RNS:
.
In both the Fuel Cell and Fuel Processing segments, the Company believes it is well positioned to build on the prior three years of investment in technology, commercial readiness and manufacturing scale up, to now accelerate time to market for both its technology platforms. In addition, there is a potential first mover advantage to be exploited in its respective markets and so time to market is critical, underpinning the Company's decision to review its financing activities.
.
The net proceeds of the Placing and Subscription will be utilised to capitalise on the Company's existing commercial routes to market for its H-Power generators (specifically the roll out of initial orders from Speedy Hydrogen Solutions and TAMGO) and to support commercial development.
.
Use of proceeds:
· Investment in H-Power 30kW generators - rollout of initial Speedy Hydrogen Solutions' orders and, when placed, TAMGO orders;
· Investment in production equipment to support manufacturing scale up;
· Investment in Speedy Hire Joint Venture (Speedy Hydrogen Solutions); and
· Commercial development and corporate overheads.
.
Any proceeds from the REX Retail Offer will be used for general corporate purposes.

@JakNife,
The warning signs were all there.
My post from 2 weeks ago.
"YellowF123 - 25 May 2024 - 20:30:59 - 25194 of 25367 AFC Energy - The New Positive Thread Mk II - AFC
AFC need to be busy spinning news.
1/2 year report is due at the end of July for period ending April 2024.
During which time they will have delivered and received revenue for very little.
That report will make hard reading, and pressurise EOY expectations.
With expected cash raise on the horizon its likely to be a tough year for investors".

My advice from here is:
1. Do not listen to any advice from HaggisMcHaggis, ConstructionNews, StockCheque, and especially some idiot called WUZY.

I am not advising anyone to buy or sell, that's always an individual choice.
No news is very rarely good news, and there's lot of that with AFC.

"Any proceeds from the REX Retail Offer will be used for general corporate purposes."
.
Once the placing is completed, the price can go back up based on "AFC Energy touts fundraise to FAST TRACK H-Power delivery", as the retail offer is not allocated to anything, it would just be used as and when required later in the day.

So you think it’s a cash raise Haggis ? Disappointing to hear this. What timescale are we talking for AFC to be re-rated into a higher bracket ? Or will sales depend on that ?

@McHaggis,
You should be totally ashamed of yourself, it is my belief you have been active on this and other BB's to promote this company well beyonds its expectations and most likely in the knowledge that a cash raise was imminent.
I for one will be reporting your user ID to the FCA and moderators on this BB.

As you have likely succeeded in encouraging others to buy into AFC you will scuttle way back into a cave and re-appear under a new ultra-uber alias.
It matters not what your name is, you won't be able to disguise your irritatingly obvious cut and paste of historical meaningless info.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
